That's good. :) The ending. It's sweet. But god, it's exhausting emotionally to lose someone and so frightening. I dread the day I lose my mother. I don't always get along with her, she's no Toph, but she's still my mother.

This is too sad. I'm really really depressed. But that means you've done a really good job of describing it. I can only imagine what they all felt when each member died :'( Poor Lin...I love all the tiny bits of warmth, love and humor in the story, like "I had my fill of boxes as a girl" and "her mother giving the Avatar hell in the Spirit World". That totally would've happened. And the fact that Toph died defending her daughter makes it all too sweet. I just can't imagine Toph dying...peacefully? In her sleep, at least. She seems more than that. She'd have gone in battle. Really nice story :)

It's an honor to be the first reviewer of this fanfic. It made me tearbend! I really liked how Toph died as a hero, I simply couldn't deal with other authors making her die because she was outmatched. Keep up the good work ;D
