I just read chapter 30 on livejournal and, to be honest, I cried. This is a wonderful story and thank you for posting! Loved it!

Well balls, Batman. You almost had something going for you there, but such is fate. You get no rest from the angst as long as you're a comic book character.

This is the first fanfiction I ever read (with the exception of My Immortal - but that doesn't really count)

A lot of people ask me "Why are you into Batman/Joker?" and this story is just one of the reasons. In fact, this fanfiction is what got me into the pairing in the first place. The ending is so sad, it did actually make me cry the first time I read it.

Poor Batman, everyone around him just seems to die.

This is amazing. I really love it and how deep and emotional it gets. I love your writing! You need to make more stories!

i loved the story usually i dont read batman fanfiction but after this story i might. i read the story on livejournal and i just wanted to ask what happens next? did bruce go back? did he die? did he forgive alfred and dick? did he turn criminal?does he get arrested for breaking out joker? and so on... please answer! anyway this story rocks :-)!

i just finished your story. it's absolutely amazing! you are a very good writer. i was a tad upset about the ending, but hey, who wouldn't be when your favorite character dies? but the ending was beautiful, none the less. i loved how you portrayed them. you did a excellent job! so anyways, i just dropped by to tell you that this story is one of my favorite fics. I LOVED it. I don't know how you did it, but it is perhaps the best batman and joker story that I have EVER read. It was so sad I almost cried. You really know how to capture and hold emotions. I honestly couldn't stop reading it.
