I have never been a fan of rick.. I liked Shane as a character that character had too much potential...

It's been a few years since this was updated...we're not sure if the writer is active anymore. Anyone want to so-write a follow up?

Your story is amazing. Lori is way too often pictured as the bad heartless girl and it's good to read some fictions which change that. Being a huge fan of Rick I feel very sorry for him.. but that was a great story. I'd be happy to read your other fictions !

Despite the fact that this absolutely broke my heart at the end (though, I knew it couldn't end well, of course) this was an amazing story. It was incredibly well-written, which is refreshing, and you pretty much nailed the characters. No pun intended. I wish there was a way for you to continue this story, but since Shane is dead, I don't see that happening. Still, fantastic story.

Your story was so amazing! I loved how it was written, so mature and I'm still in shock with your ending. Beautiful job, I wanted it all to just keep going right into the apocalypse. I'd love to read more shane/Lori especially if it's written by you.

I donno what to say... I really don't. Poor Rick! Anyways good job on the story!

Okay..So I still enjoy this story, I just can't picture Rick nearly raping Lori. He's a good guy, so I find that hard to believe. I can see him nearly hitting her and stepping back, but that's about it.
I really enjoy the dynamic between Shane and Lori, but not so much the demonizing of Rick, but whatever. That's just a personal opinion from a Rick fan, so don't take it the wrong way plz.
I still love this story however and believe there should be way more Lori/Shane fics out there. Good chap.
