I like it! I can just see him "jumbling the pieces" when he should be practicing for some old speech or resting from whatever wound or poison or sorcery has come upon him this week.
I also like that you distanced his thoughts from him, if that makes sense. On the one hand, it's like we're in his mind, but on the other, it's almost just an exposition. Not sure why I like that, but I do.

Wow, I can see this going on in his head as well as Arthur trusting Merlin so completely that thoughts like those never even crossed his mind. It really might have gone either way - but I'm guessing he really doesn't want to know.

BRILLIANCE! I love it. I truly do, this is great! I always hate it so much how Arthur seems to totally ignore Merlin's magic- he's not stupid, just appears it because he DOESN'T SEE... It's so annoying, don't you think? Anyway, I love how you wrote this... The style you wrote with seems to jump a little bit... I assume you were going for 3rd person, but at times it seems that you were heading for a 3rd person view written from the 1st person, if that makes sense... As if Arthur was writing it from the 3rd person, I suppose... It was just a little confusing.
But brilliantly written! I love it!

I often think that there is no way Arthur is as oblivious as he is in the show, and I really like the way you have him here, knowing that he could put the pieces together but refusing to as it makes everything more difficult. It sounds like the sort of thing he would do.

This was really well-stated. I think that this is exactly what is going on in Arthur's mind. He is not an idiot and I think he deliberately doesn't want to see what he doesn't want to see. This way, no decisions and he can keep everything status quo. I liked how you put a focus on that with this story. Thanks.

This is amazing! I love the feeling you put behind it, not to mention, you have really good writing skills. It brings a new light as to why Arthur is so oblivious when it comes to Merlin. And it would make sense. No matter how much Arthur tries to deny it (in front of Merlin at least) it's so obiviouse he cares for Merlin and values his friendship and opinion so it would make sense that he would want to protect Merlin (and in a way, himself) by ignoring the signs that point to *looks around* *whispers* magic. Good job at this story; I loved it!
