This was awesome! I really love it! It was a very sweet oneshot. I liked Edith's interaction with Stephanie and Stephanie seems to be a cool kid.

I always enjoyed the nineth season of AITF with the addition of young Stephanie Mills. This was a nice recap of the series. It sounded as though this could've been a "finale" episode for the entire series (had they not gone into Archie Bunker's Place). I enjoyed this story and thought it was very sweet. I felt you captured the characteristics of Archie, Edith, and Stephanie very well. I could see why Stephanie would be upset and puzzled by such comments her classmates had made about her aunt and uncle. Edith was always the "peacemaker" and thought the best of everything and everyone. What a nice wrap-up for the All in the Family series (if there truly had been one).

In answer to your above question, since I liked this story so much, I look forward to reading your AITF Christmas story. I know it'll have a good premise and unfold just like the actual AITF episodes did.

You're off to a great start after rediscovering this show and creating this heartfelt story.

I've never read an All In The Family fiction before but Nannygirl, you have won me over. You have Edith's speech patterns down - I'd forgotten about the "youses" (smiling) and what a grump Archie was! It was like going back in time a little and seeing one of the later episodes.
