Love this!

This is such an excellent story that I hate it was never finished.

Excellent! A perfect balance between action and detail.

Well, damn. I guess I should've paid attention to the lack of "complete" status, but this still caught me off guard. Too bad it's unfinished, because I really was enjoying it.

You know, so much happened in this chapter that I can't settle on any one thing that I liked more than others.

You know, I really enjoyed Syl and Krit's conversation on their way in, the one that Alec overheard, but I have to admit that I liked Zane and Jondy's plan to get into Terminal City even more. But what a mean cliffhanger! Luckily, you've already written the next part so I don't have to sit here, biting my nails.

And everyone's moving even closer to Seattle. Which is just my not-so-subtle way of trying to find something to say that is relevant to the chapter. Because I keep on finding myself completely immersed in the story and forgetting where one chapter begins and another ends, coming to the end of the page each time in a bit of an awed daze.

I loved that both Alec and Max panicked when they thought something was wrong with the other one. But poor Alec, thinking no one would care if he was hurt. And I like that you've introduced Max's siblings to the story.

And enter Max. I'm enjoying the slower pace so far, setting up the background through well, the flashbacks within flashbacks.

I really liked this first chapter, split up between Alec's dream/memory of Manticore and the present day situation. The dream especially set up Alec's mindset. And the fight with the Familiar is making me think something very exciting is going to happen.

Fantastic story! Just found it and love it! Glad to see that you are still updating since so many have abandoned their fics!

Can't wait for the next update!

Hm, I'm not sure I can review this piece of work, if I didn't swear I'd say it was F* (You get the idea) spectacular, you've slipped into each of the characters so well its like I was just reading an episode, hell this could seriously be Season Three if they ever made it!
