Wow, this is excellent. I love the idea here, its original and refreshing. In between all the depression (lol) that is, but its good. I like your style, how make sure to cover most of the loose ends and yet still give it a mysterious, and at appropriate parts, spiritual, edge.
On a side note, I have to say I'm very glad you mentioned Tahno, and no its not because I'm a Tahnorra shipper, but I think he was an important character who really got the short end of the stick. Seriously, this guy was ass and the very example of bending oppression that Amon always harped about and he lost it and there was so much potential for a growing and maturing turn right there and they (the creators) fucking dropped it. You know they wouldn't have done that for AtLA; they turned everything into a fucking spiritual lesson there. Even Jet, who got like 2 episodes and was mostly a nobody came back to play a super important role in finding Appa in Ba Sing Se. Tahno definitely could have been a huge supporting role, or even main, I don't know.
So yeah, that was pretty long winded and not at all relevant. Sorry for ranting. But I like how you keep the internal struggles here in your story and work with it. Not much development yet, but you're setting it up nicely. I'm interested to see how you might work in the Amorralok element in here; honestly it sounds a bit unsettingly because Noatak and Tarrlok ARE related but maybe you don't mean it romantically? I clicked on an Amorralok story once and it turned out that Amon was Korra's father so you never know I suppose haha.
Life's a bitch I know, but I hope maybe eventually when you have a bored afternoon you might get some inspiration to update. :)

This story is great so far. I love your writing style. It's poetic, and it flows. I can't understand why this story doesn't have more reviews. I know the rest of the story will be phenomenal, but I wanted to review here, because this story has blown me away. Also, the line about a new life, matching tattoos, and a dog cracked me up! I love the nod to Strings! That's another phenomenal story. Anyway, I look forward to reading the rest of the story. :-)

That was amazing, I can't wait till chap 10...there's going to be a chapter 10 right?...ther better be cause I'm hooked. I usually go for the stories with more dialog then thoughts and stuff. But damn this story is still pretty damn aweaome. Hell, it could be a book if you change up the chars. Then again you don't have much reviews...but the people who have lots of reviews...well most of them only have them cause there stories are lemony. And even though this is rated M I respect the fact that you are an awesome writer and put lots of epic shit about there pasts and stuff...though I get the feeling (no offense) that your like 80 or something (in a good way) because everything you write is so damn deep and it takes me a while to wrap my mind around it. And im reading this and telling myself "Hell...this story is making me feel all wierd like I need to find a different center in my life to revolve around"...by the way this need more reviews...and there's only one thing I have to complain about and thats the fact that Korra is always calling Amon/Noatak an old man and its making my Makorraness surface again. Why, why must we be reminded that he is old? Now its gonna be all pedo style..

And the past with his mother was great, but personally, and really I'm not cool, I would have liked the past scenes to do with Tarrlok and his mother's relationship were written all in one go. I can see why you wrote them as you did to let the story grow and Tarrluk as a character and how this present relates to the past and etc, but yeah.

The story is so great! ! I've seem somany possibility in your writing ! ! I love the way you portrait the bloodbending brother! It's just... how can I describe it, the image of the bloodbending brother is very nature, like themselves ! I specially like the way you describe their mother, who also has a great impact on these two brother. Also, I'm dying for the more story about how Amon establish his "equalist army".

Also, the dialoge, I love it! Espically this one :"We're both cowards who have used bloodbending." It's just soheartbreaking! So, please! Continuine it's story! It's just so beautiful! Do you have tumblr account? I really want to follow you in the Amorralok ship! You know, most amorralok author, I think they focus too much on the amorra, or korrlok. They didn't pay attention on the bloodbending brother's relationship! But you did it! So, pleasecontinue this story, I do love your story!

First thing I gotta ask is, was the 'Would they settle down and get a dog, matching tattoos, a new life?', a nod to Strings? I believe it was, and I LOVE that story.

Now, I'm really enjoying this fic. I love your Tarrlok. The poor guy has been through so much, and it's really nice to see him regretting his actions. So few fics ever have him take responsibility for the fact that either Amon or Tarrlok are in their respective situations because of their own actions. So I really love to see him feeling so deeply about who he is and what he's done. (I also love getting to see if from his POV)
I do hope him and Korra continue to grow closer. Obviously I don't want them to jump into romance together right off the bat. The slow burn is always better. ;) but I do enjoy seeing them sort of unite. Hopefully they can help eachother out in some kind of way.

Is it wrong that I'm much more of a Tarrlok sympathizer than Noatak? Totally rooting for Korrlok XD

I love the peak into Noatak's head. I find it hard to believe that I'm sympathizing so much with a borderline sociopath, but his entire backstory (both canon and yours) and seeing how confused and twisted and broken he is gives me feels of the highest caliber. Great job.
