Reviews for Fire In The Sky
Lyrasloon chapter 1 . 8/16/2017
Being epileptic myself, I can definitely agree with the assessment that seizures suck. I've had several of them in public and I've had several surgeries to try and limit them. At least the grand mals (or whatever they're called now) aren't as debilitating as they once were.
Rosanne89 chapter 1 . 11/12/2016
Awhh that was a sad but also very sweet story.
weareshadows chapter 1 . 8/13/2015
I adore this story! You captured Sam and Dean in such a way that I could feel their intentions. The story flowed beautifully. You also accurately represented what it's like to have epilepsy- especially the lack of control. Thank you so much for writing this. I would love to see this story continue.

Aranna Undomiel chapter 1 . 2/3/2013
This was a really sad story, knowing this isn't a story for everyone, that there are people who have to go through life like that...
Loved awesome Dean and cute Sammy as always :)
SayLo chapter 1 . 1/23/2013

AlElizabeth chapter 1 . 9/15/2012
Good themed fic for the American readers... I'm Canadian so I don't celebrate the fourth but know all about it. Dean's continuing to be an awesome brother to Sam (as always in your fics). Great job!
TinTin11 chapter 1 . 8/12/2012
Wonderful!
sammynanci chapter 1 . 7/12/2012
Poor things the boys! Poor thing my Sammy! If already it had had a convulsion in the dining room could not it see the fireworks in peace? Do I suffer of only thinking that the life of the two was like that of difficult and unjust? Is Sammy going to recover at some time? Will they be these assaults something more than epilepsy? Probably the demon's blood in his body was doing devastations in him while it was growing because of it these migraines and nightmares that they mention in in John's Diary. In end, I liked much what I read, since always, but I suffered too much with these damned assaults! Thank you for publishing, especially part in which Dean raises in his arms Sam and the small one huddles in his lap.
Steliyana chapter 1 . 7/11/2012
This story is AMAZING! I love it so, so much that I can't even begin to tell you. It left me speechless - definitely one of your best stories! I love how you described every situation in details, especially the brotherly moments. You give us a chance to see Sam and Dean's points of view and their thoughts on what was happening. It is very heart warming and touching. I liked how you made it clear that Dean loves Sam but Sam loves Dean too and as strongly as his big brother.

Thank you for writing this great story and for sharing it with us!
PenAndInkPrincess chapter 1 . 7/11/2012
Great job! I'm glad that you didn't gloss over what happens during a seizure. I have a friend who's epileptic (thank goodness his isn't as severe as Sam's in this fic), and he's lost control of his bladder a few times. It's humiliating for him, even when reminded it isn't his fault.

You also did an excellent job of how people will stare. Strangers mean well, but sometimes they can just make it worse for the person.

I also enjoyed the protectiveness of Dean over Sam; it's perfectly in-character. Fave!
Guest chapter 1 . 7/9/2012
Sweet and brotherly, emotional and well-decribed. Superb story!

This part, for some reason, stuck with me the longest...

"Sammy. I'm not trying to pick a fight with you," Dean began reasonably, staring meaningfully at his little brother across the table. "But eat the fucking pancakes. Seriously."

...Made me laugh SUPER hard, but also made me smile at Dean's caring, even though he may express it unconventionally. Purely awesome. :)

Great work! :)

*Sometimes taking a risk was worth the experience...even if you had to deal with the consequences.*
