Sam is honestly such a sweetie, I love how he defended Kurt and didn't take no shit on excuse for their behavior towards him. There are some husbands that don't even stand up for their wives/husbands against their friends mistreatment.

If only...and Kurt STILL gets left out. At s4's finale, he's in the room where Britt's love circle is going, she acknowledges every person there, including the newbies, Sugar and Joe, but NOT Kurt, who is standing right next to Sam, her boyfriend. And in s5, for the Defying Gravity redux (which I was very excited about), which was originally Kurt and Rachel redoing their original diva-off, Mercedes comes in and it's suddenly all Rachel and Mercedes, with Kurt not even mentioned in voting - even by his own fiance. I'd have voted for him just because he was the only one NOT being a jerk. But thanks for this. Sam was a sweetheart and Kurt was sweet AND a BAMF.

Did this fic use to exist a few years ago as a much shorter version? Because I could've sworn I read it back during season 2 and it as considerably shorter. Still great, though.
