Good story so far!

That really was a bittersweet ending - brought a little moisture to my eyes there. It's very sad how Natalie ended up and I know this is the end but I like to imagine better things are waiting for her now that she's out of the asylum.
I liked finding out exactly what happened in that bar fight since Chloe had mentioned it before.
I will definitely need to check out the other story you've written that's an alternate version of this. I'd like to see what happens when Marie goes with Once-ler to the valley. :)
All in all, an amazing story and I'm glad you've shared it with the internet.

It's sad what Natalie had to go through, but I honestly don't hate her character - I feel sorry for her and you're right in your note - people with her upbringing may end up doing these types of things. But, it's obvious deep down she cares at least a little for Once-ler since she defends him. Sad though that he's been reduced to some kind of monster in these rumors and stories flying around town.

Awww - such a sweet reunion - I'm glad the Lorax gave them a chance to have the relationship they never had. I know Once-ler would be a good father - he knows to do exactly the opposite of everything his mom did raising him lol.

Great additions of everything that's changed since Chloe was a kid such as the candy being in a different container and fashion evolving. Gives a nice sense of realism to what she's dealing with.
I can't wait to see what happens when she's finally reunited with Once-ler

This took an interesting turn - I'm intrigued now what might happen when Chloe and Once-ler meet for the first time. I love hearing about what happened with Marie and the twins - interesting that Chloe ended up in the Truffula Valley as well. :)

So sad he never got to know his girls - my heart hurt for him finding that letter after all those years and for Marie never knowing why he didn't write back. I hope he is able to find that part of his family again, though they may want one heck of an explanation why he's young again!

Awww - well, you definitely surprised me with the twins! I can't wait to see how Marie handles motherhood and what Once-ler will think when he finds out. I was rooting for the due date - March 5 because that's my birthday lol - but having them born on Once-ler's birthday was a sweet touch. Hope they like marshmallow cake!

I knew it - I knew she would get pregnant. I only hope she wand Once-ler are able to reunite soon-ish...we all know his end of the story, but I just want to keep reading on to find out what happens on Marie's end.

I like their simple ceremony and their honeymoon that started out less-than-ideal, but turned out to be their first blissful days as a married couple. I'm only left wondering where it might go from here since we've all seen the movie and we know how things turn out, so I imagine tough times could be ahead for them, but hopefully they'll help each other through it.

I squealed in excitement! I'm so happy it's lead to this - I mean I figured it was coming because I saw the name of the next chapter in the drop down lol but as you've always done, you wrote a very sweet, romantic scene here. I've read other stories where it's very cliche or doesn't read right, but yours is very natural and real.
Concerning the author's note - I love the character of Marie and she definitely doesn't come off as Mary Sueish. :)

"I thank my family for the encouragement..." - I'm guessing he's saying this because he's expected to? LOL - I don't see his family much encouragement - in fact, they didn't show up to his graduation! But sometimes that makes people stronger and makes them more determined to make their dreams reality. We had a guy like Howard at my graduation - he got up and flexed and all that - the principal did not look happy but what was she really going to do at that point lol
I'm actually with Marie - I'm not a huge marshmallow fan either (little ones on sweet potatoes are good or in smores is okay) - I get them just handed to me sometimes because I cosplay Once-ler - I got like 6 bags for my birthday and felt kind of bad because I'm sitting there like "Thanks..."

That was quite a passionate kiss indeed - and that's enough for two teenagers. I'm a little glad Betsy walked in when she did lol. They don't need to go any further than a passionate kiss right now - they'll be adults soon enough and there will be plenty of time for the rest later. :)
I also love the idea of the birthday dinner Marie cooked for Once-ler - I'm like "Yep, dinner of champions - I'd eat it!" :)

I'm glad their first kiss was so sweet (and not just because it tasted like marshmallows and vanilla frosting lol) - I'm enjoying reading about their relationship unfold.
I actually like OC pairings for some characters and Once-ler is one of them - there really is no canon pairing for him aside from possibly Norma (though it's never said they actually MET, she just knows of him in the movie). Then there's the whole AU Audrey pairing...and other pairings we dare not speak of :p...yes, I like your Marie/Once-ler pairing very much. They're such a cute couple and I can't wait to see where their romance leads. :)
