clh chapter 2 . 8/1/2018
Everyone is really in character and the post Mirror Image wrap-up stuff is all very well done, but it kind of felt like two separate stories. Personally, I think Sam being on a regular mid-series would have better served the Thor side of the storyline. The Mirror Image wrap-up stuff could have been it's own separate story (although it did make sense for the leap that finally got Sam home to be something as ground-breaking as stopping Ragnarok).

But that aside, I really liked the Thor side of the story. Sam leaping into Odin at that exact moment was a beautiful idea. No matter how well-intentioned Odin may have been Sam was much better suited to keeping Loki from letting go in that moment because naturally his response to some guy who's on the brink of plummeting to his death looking pleadingly up at him and saying "I could have done it, Father" without any other context would be to say something affirming.

The rest of the solution to the leap was perhaps a bit simplistic and wrapped up unexpectedly soon, but in a way it made sense that Sam with his simple perspective, not bogged down by trying to balance being a king with being a father, could have got through to Loki in a way that Odin couldn't have. I loved it when he said, "Just because you're adopted doesn't mean that we love you any less." That was so Sam, to take this bizarre, crazy situation and put it into everyday terms that he could understand.

The only issue I had was that I thought Al was a bit quick to believe that Odin, Thor and Loki really were Norse gods, but then I suppose Al can be pretty superstitious.
Radon65 chapter 2 . 7/1/2018
That was really nice! I loved the hilarity of Sam having no clue what was going on and 'Odin' telling Frigga that he would totally talk to their sons, but he had to go to the bathroom first, which was a perfectly valid excuse after getting out of a three-day nap... It was also kind of adorable how he just tried to say something reassuring to Loki at the beginning, because he had no idea what was happening, and how Loki immediately calmed down instead of trying to kill himself. I also enjoyed the conversation in the throne room and how Loki and Thor were arguing, and Loki managed to deflect pretty well with a couple of lies - Odin's going to have fun with that when he gets back. Nice to see Sam getting a happy ending, and being so happy when Al showed up and said they'd been looking for him. This was a hilarious and heartwarming crossover.
Lynse chapter 2 . 2/17/2018
This was fun. I liked how you handled the situation with Thor and Loki. Thanks for writing this.

"So what if I resolve everything and one of them hugs me and squeezes too hard and I just pop like a balloon?" Sam asked anxiously.
"I would be sad to see your passing but comforted somewhat by how hilarious your death was,"
[I would be laughing next to him. In a dark way, perhaps]

That was unique. Iā€™m not sure entirely what I was expecting, especially with the fandoms being crossed over, but it came across as very well written. The characters all seemed to act appropriately ā€“ though I think nostalgia and the surprise of their reunion was a little stronger than it needed to be, particularly in the beginning when Sam is playing the part of the human chameleon. I missed seeing him fumble but make it through by wit and by luck, because there really was fairly little of that. The reconciliation also seemed a little uncertain ā€“ though part of that was that I was expecting it to take longer and end up dealing individually with Loki, if not also Thor. All in all it still did a good presentation of Quantum Leap.
OCMichael chapter 2 . 9/24/2012
A truly fine, happy ending.
OCMichael chapter 1 . 9/24/2012

Loki God of Trickery chapter 2 . 9/16/2012
I've never actually heard of Quantum Leap, but I love Thor. I was able to keep up the with the story, and I found it was really interesting. The characters from Thor were in character (I assume the others were too, but I don't know) and I generally thought it was a good read.
Quitealiar chapter 2 . 8/19/2012
Cute! I liked this story.
JannaKalderash chapter 2 . 7/24/2012
That was a quick ending. I'm glad that Sam was able to knit the family back together again without any icky punishments like mouth sewing, etc.

Mathematical Dragon chapter 2 . 7/3/2012
This was so awesome! I love how you tied up plot threads in both Quantum Leap & Thor. Sam did a fabulous job as Odin and it's great to see Loki & Thor forced into talking out their issues! I hope you keep writing Thor fics!
Guest chapter 2 . 7/3/2012
Nicely done. I love how you tied together many of the more esoteric bits of Quantum Leap trivia.
