There are so many wonderful things about this story I honestly do not know where to begin. Perhaps what distinguishes this from most other stories of this sort is that this is one of the few where Caroline is truly Klaus' equal, something that is understandably hard to imagine and write, but a concept that you have managed to convey convincingly and to the credit of your story.

Too often, Caroline is portrayed as a helpless little girl who needs the big strong hybrid to protect her, but I love that Caroline is a perfectly capable woman on her own, and giving her the chance to grow and learn was truly a breath of fresh air. The fact that they got to show each other art, music and genuine beauty lent a whole new level of sweetness to their relationship. And what I find really impressive is that although Caroline is capable and equal to Klaus, you've still managed to convey his 1000 years and how much he's seen and experienced. It's a perfect balance, really.

Besides their travels together, the evolution of their relationship is so enchanting and elegant. It sweet, not rushed and not overdone at all. The effort they go through to understand each other properly is endearing and makes their relationship seems believable and natural. Him being able to make her happy and her ability to see the good in him make them perfect for each other and you've captured all that is good about their relationship perfectly. An amazing story and I do hope you write more! Excellent work!

I just finished reading this short, wonderful story, and I must say I'm impressed. Coming up with things to teach Klaus about music, art and genuine beauty must have been hard. I tried to think of something myself after reading the summary, quickly wondering how on earth you were going to deal with that. But you did, and that shows your creativity. Caroline singing to Klaus was a great idea. Also, I loved how she said: "I got you a puppy. Please don't eat him." Made me laugh out loud! Thanks for writing this delightful story.

Beautifully written and an absolutely adorable ending. I love that he got a puppy but I love even more that his favourite book is Dorian Gray (a personal favourite). Amazing job!
