An interesting story so far, a few things I noted whilst reading your fic in particular were minor typos and grammatical errors, my advice is make use of a proof reader they can be quite handy and pick up on the issues like that.

I strongly believe you would find it easier to write in third person, I think you'd find the fic would flow better this way and the pov jumps wouldn't be needed.

More description of sights and smells would add a nice layer on top of your story, as we progress through chapters we see more of it which is nice remember to keep adding it in.
