This is one of the most moving stories I've ever read. You captured John's emotions perfectly. You have an amazing talent for crushing my heart beneath your heel with the simplest of words. The last sentence was FANTASTIC! It's effect was much stronger and hard hitting because it was a single sentence paragraph.
