This was incredibly powerful. Speaking as a person who has attempted suicide more than once, I can completely relate to how he felt, and how you feel about his situation. It is a wonderful piece of work, and you are a wonderful writer- you truly captured the way you feel when you wake up the next morning, realizing that you're still alive, that you can't even kill yourself right, the utter self-loathing of the thing. Good job.

Cold metal and oil, the smell of gun powder and something I can never place. I know all too well what it's like to put that barrel in your mouth and have your finger hover over the trigger. That line in the movie was barely considered by the other avengers but I can fully understand where you and Bruce are coming from. This is a beautifully written, sad, desperate fic. Thank you for writing it.

This was fantastically well done. Your description of his emotions and your incorporation of his actual past (which many people seem to ignore) just made it perfect. It's awful and terrifying that you've been there before, but I'm glad you're still here. You did a wonderful job with this. Great writing. :)
