The Keeper is a very intriguing character, and the story gets more and more mysterious with every new chapter. Looks like things are definitely not what they seemed to be...

And I don't find your story cheesy and/or predictable. In fact I'm enjoying it very much. I love fairy tales with a few twists and I'm looking forward to finding out how the story goes on. You've got that clash of the wizarding and "normal" world that reminds me a little of the Harry Potter books, a mysterious Keeper, a Hunter that sounds a little like a witchy version of the Terminator and now a sentient magical tower...

Hey, don't worry about the updates... Not that I'm not looking forward to them, but if RL is keeping you busy - and I know how exhausting job hunting can be - I'm prepared to wait a little ;-).

And I think you managed to write the boys pretty well - and Clover and Fiona as well. I'm really beginning to like those two. It must be frustrating as all get out to be the only non-magical one in a family of witches... good thing Fiona seems to have found a little man-made magic to help her ;-).
