I've only just started reading people's idea on what happened in the immediate days after the war. I really like your ideas. I always wondered what Ron did first - help George or become an Auror. JKR said he did both, at different times. My daughter said "with Ron, it's family first" so I decided that for me, it was going to be cannon that after he & Hermione found her parents, he would help George until George was more stable - maybe with Angelina - and then become an Auror. I like how you wrote this.

I think this is a great idea for a Ron and Hermione and you showed their emotions pretty well. However, there are still some pretty important details you might have missed if you read DH again:
1. Ron actually said Voldemort's name twice in DH so he isn't too afraid to say it like you suggested in the story. Once at the Burrow when Hermione was packing her books and once in Grimmauld Place when Remus brought them news about the outside world.
2. Harry is NOT good at comforting any girls whereas that is Ginny, Hermione or Cho. Whenever a girl shows emotion his preference is for them to sort it out themselves or run away.
3. The first people Harry told about Snape's true loyalty is Ron and Hermione not Ginny. He did at the end of the books after Voldemort was dead and he was on his way to Dumbledore's office with his 2 best friends.

Mmm... Good fic. You made Harry and Hermione way too perfect, and I still HATE the greasy git... but in general, good fic...

Good chapter, but I didn't like the part about Ron chosing his future.
Ron chose to help George and wait for his auror training, and he made this for George and for his family... It was a very generous and selfless decision. To made it, as if it was a selfish one, to avoid Harry, it's wrong...

And... Snape?... SNAPE?... This ridiculous excuse of human being?... My MOST HATED character in all hp universe? Arggggggg...

If Voldemort had chosen Neville, Snape would have been a happy murderer all his life!... She chose to play both sides as a revenge for the death of his "sexual obsession"... Because Lily was only this: an unhealthy obsession...

Seriously. What was Snape plan? Voldemort would kill James and Harry... and then?... What would do Snape with a destroyed woman. To make her his sexual slave? To brainwash her? Obliate and imperiuse her?... Because he couldn't think she would want anything to do with the murderers of her loving husband and son...

Honestly, if this is love, I prefer hate...

Good... But Hermione never would say "That was the day you left, wasn't it?" but "That was the day we fought, wasn't it?" or something like this...

Why, in the books, Harry forgive Ron immediately? Because was HIM the one to THROW him out, basically because Ron told him some truths... (and truth hurts the most.)

This Harry is a HIPOCRITE. He forgot he was him the one to throw him out of the tent? And He hadn't the locket when he did!...

Both this Harry and Hermione playing the perfect forgiving friends on poor Ron, but without admitting either of them, ANY guilt in the matter?... A bit conceited and selfish for their part!...

Actually, maybe it will be good for Ron to be apart of both for a time...

Wow, Hermione really have the social skills of a stone... Nothing new, there... hehehe... But telling Ron it could be good for him to be far from Harry? The same could do Harry, and tell Ron it could be good for him to be apart from Hermione for a while, and be his own person... It feels wrong...

And Hermione is assuming, because they will both aurors, they will work always together... I think Ron will have a lot of opportunities to make a name for himself.

Good. But about what to say to explain Ron absence? Easy. They had a disscussion. Ron said some truths and Harry had a tantrum. Hermione was the one to stop the discussion, but as Ron had tell Harry she did criticising him, she was too busy trying to save her face, to do something but side with Harry (and put a shield between them and Ron). In the end Harry throw him out of the tent...

This assuming the locket was a retarded horcrux. If not, who would it try to possess? The only pureblood. Not a mudblood, nor Harry, who was his objective to kill (and had his own one)... But I don't think it would be good to talk about horcruxes...

Not bad... but if Ron ask for forgiveness for Lavender, for the discussions, the tent-row etc... Hermione would do the same for Krum, (and for lying to Ron about it for years), for the disscussions, for taking him for granted, for side with Harry in the tent-row, etc...

We'll see what happens with Lavender... Honestly, Hermione was the one to push Ron into the very eager arms of Lavender... She knew Lavender was shamelessly flirting with Ron, and she made nothing!?... She still took Ron for granted and showed no appreciation for him.
The total opposed response of Harry and Hermione to the slug-club was an clear display of Hermione ambition and lack of empathy towards Ron feelings...
