I've been rewatching Castle, and this would have been amazing to see. I love how they one hand settled into their new relationship with no effort, how easy they are together; on the other, it shows that there are 4 years of baggage they have to work through, 4 years of small and bigger things they did to hurt one another and keep their distance, and it's beautiful to see them try to work through all that.

The words in this story were like a caress, soft and gentle and affectionate. A beautiful, beautiful way to reinterpret their summer, something I wish could have happened. I think they both needed this time together, and I'm glad you wrote it in a way that they did.

I'd love to be in this bubble with them forever, but I'm glad you stopped here, left us wanting more and using our imaginations to fill the blanks. I will keep wondering what happened to Reuben and if Kate kept volunteering a bit (or at least figured out a time to hang out with the boy). I will wonder what would happen to these two, unable to stop touching, at the precinct, where they have to keep it professional. Or well, years in the future, on their boat, in the Hamptons, with their family.

I will keep chewing on this story all day, and again, I loved the softness of this story, such a huge contrast to the mystery and death and guns that we're so used to. Thank you so much for this (even though I'm very late to the party!).

Why is he angry now? Because she has panic attacks, or because she didn't tell him about them? Seems a bit irrational. You'd think he'd be more concerned than anything.

I'm glad someone is calling Rick out on his stuff. I'm quite surprised it was Alexis, but someone needed to do it.

I think Rick was overreacting about Kate not always showing/talking about how committed she is to their relationship. She'd just told him she'd had her last first kiss. How much more does he want from her so early in their romantic relationship when he knows she plays her emotions close to the vest. It seems like an insecurity he needs to work on and not blame it on Kate.

Look at the new love!

I've been reading all your works for a few days now and, man, this story reduced me to a puddle of feels. Everything about it is perfect, them as characters, them as a couple, their interaction, the way they face problems. I'm in love with all of it and I read it in 2 FUCKING days. So good.

Just ran across this story today and I am already on Capter 8. Very enjoyable read. Thank you for your efforts. I will be looking for more of your FFs.

I've never posted a review or anything of that matter to this site. Which is a travesty I know...but having had the good fortune of being stuck on a long train ride with nothing to read - I searched my offline stored reading and I was fortunate enough to re-read your story again - after having first consumed it late last year.

The quality of your narrative and of your writing so moved me that I vowed that I would not allow my normal complacency to rule the day. As such I simply wanted to pass on to you how much I enjoyed this story, the journey it took me on and the emotions it evoked within me.

I've been reading Castle FanFiction for a few years - I adore the show and the great stories posted on this site by a number of fantastic authors. I'm sure you've received numerous glowing reviews, which would be nothing short of well deserved.

I think that might be the neatest thing ever that he did that! She had that much of his heart and he had nothing of her as far as he knew.

I thought he was going to have to ask her while he was adoring her as she watched the dolphins! I don't know how he can stand to hold it in!

Good chapter! I think my favorite part was when she kissed him in front of Martha. It was spontaneous! If she had thought about it, she wouldn't have done it! I like that she did!

I think it is so neat that he stayed on the line and listened to her as she slept! Eased her mind enough so that she could drift off as if he was right there with her. Really sweet stuff.

Sounds like they are becoming the family he was praying they would be!
