you have done such a wonderful job with this story its very beautiful i think it started a bit slow and had no direction with it but it seems that the story fixed that as time went on without harming or changing the beginning

Um, hi.

I know I owe you like a thousand and one written things and I should really be ashamed to show my face on without an update, BUT. I WAS SO EXCITED to get an email at the unholy butt crack of dawn alerting me that you had updated Stasis. And then I was so mad that I was running late and couldn't read it then and there upon waking up. So here I am sitting in my car reading and reviewing on my phone because IKE AND MARTH ARE JUST LOVE. And I clearly cannot wait to get home.

Drunken Ike is just the cutest thing ever, and much more in control of himself than I am when stumblingly drunk. Why wasn't he inhibited enough to just freaking kiss Marth like he, the older boy, and we all want? Shit, Ike. They don't call it liquid courage for nothing! Though I do love how he told the comforting pillar supporting him AKA Marth that he wanted to curl up against him and marry him. Because that is obviously what should happen in the U.S. states where it is legal.

Speaking of Marth: he is clearly so tenderly affectionate with Ike and you can tell from the way he takes care of the poor drunken boy, from making sure he gets a place to rest and letting him snuggle on his lap after he collapses on the ground. And holding his hand the entire time he's asleep? That's dedication born from love.

Also, Ike's insecurity when it comes to Marth and Link's relationship is so fittingly adolescent, just like his tongue-tied jealous blurting and response to Marth's confusion. And both of their worries and thoughts concerning the other after Ike's anxiety-inducing class tour; how Ike is so concerned about being something that Marth can admire, whereas the older boy doesn't want to lead his suspectible friend down a path he knows that Ike doesn't want. Honestly, Ike doesn't have anything to be worried about, though, since he is obviously the object of Marth's desire just the way he is. Why don't they understand this?! I want to shake them silly and then throw them into a locked room with scented candles and lots of lube.

I can't wait to see where you're taking this the next chapter, since I know what you're planning to do. I foresee much internalized angst and regretting and pining, and I CAN'T WAIT.

Sooo I'm kind of in love with this story. I've recently gotten into MarthxIke and this one is definitely on my favorite! Please please continue it, I'm dying to see how they develop more! D

Wonderful descriptions too... Link's electric blue eyes, Ike over-dramatizing the situation (though, who can blame him?), it's all wonderful. If I had a vocabulary like yours, you'd be getting better reviews.

'YOUR-MERE-PRESCENCE-IS-ENOUGH' No. I have no reason to comment on this. Except every time I read it I start to laugh and giggle uncontrollably and I can't tell why. I enjoy it. And it was non-verbal too, which is even better, don't know why. I love this. And then when he refers to himself and Marth as Mom and Dad.

I love how straightforward he is with Ike! 'So you like Marth.'. It's not even a question! It's a stated fact! It's fabulous.

Ike's crush is adorable. I've said it before, I'll say it again. And let me just say, I could feel the metaphorical sweat-drop rolling down the back of my head when Link says "So I have an idea...'

I found the scene with Ike trying to wake Marth up beyond adorable. I can totally relate to Marth there; I'm IMPOSSIBLE to get up. He has a reason to be all sleepy and stay there though, what with the mercenary all close to him and stuff... X3

'I... I've been talking with Link...' AHHHH HIS PANIC AT THAT STATEMENT WAS SO CUTE I CAN'T EVEN BECAUSE LINK KNOWS AND HINTED AT THE FACT THAT MARTH HAS A CRUSH ON HIM AND MARTH THOUGHT THAT LINK TOLD IKE AND AHHHH. Okay. That's my fangirling, I must apologize for it.

AND THEN WHEN HE COMPLETELY AVOIDED THE TOPIC TO GET TO DINNER AHHHH.

'questionably platonic, romantic, AND sexual tension-filled'. I love this description. It basically explains their relationship without explaining their relationship in a rather entertaining way. Though why Ike can pick up on that and now Marth's affections, I'll never know.

That ending scene was kinda sad... Ike, I am disappointed in the fact that your answer was to take a sip of alcohol. TEL HIM YOU LOVE HIM YOU FABULOUS MAN. (I am sorry for that as well.)

So, I'm sorry my review lacks the quality of a nitty-picky English teacher, I just kind of ended up fangirling unintelligibly, but don't I always? I'll try to review better, I swear!

I must say, I had to read the other chapters once again because, honestly, it's been a while. I thought you were going to delete it.
That being said, Zelda's characterization in stasis is a surprise. Very different, I hope to see more about her.
Also, I was getting a little worried about the pace. As in, progress is very slow but realistic, but we know so little about what Marth thinks...

Anyway, I am curious, wondering about the direction this is taking. Keep it up!

In actuality, I read this not long after you posted. It was just in the morning and I had to go to school, so I couldn't leave a proper review. Well, here it is now. My (im)proper review. /SPARKLE

Of course, you always add that slight, hinted, and sometimes hidden in a somewhat-obvious-spot sense of humor. Loving it all the time, my dear IkeMarth fan.

Now that I think about it, I'm not even sure if this review makes any sense. OTL. That's just me.

Again, please forgive this nutty fan for her sporadic reviewing habits. I realized I only reviewed the first three chapters of this story (and didn't review very well, mind you) so the only logical course of action was to re-read the entire thing so I could write a well-informed review fitting for such a wonderful piece. And you get the whole hoo-rah all over again.

Need I even say that this is well-written or that I still use a dictionary when I read this? Or do you just know that by now? I figure i say it enough, considering it's true every time. Since I did not read through my other reviews that I left here, I might be re-stating a few things.

First off, this is just adorable. Ike's crush is adorable. The fact that Marth probably likes him back (well he sure acts like he does! X3) is adorable. Mike is adorable. And I love the way you portray the two, Ike's still entertaining (especially when Roy comes in), and Marth is still quiet and adorable. And not just because Marth is always adorable. You can almost -feel- Ike's crush for yourself, because who hasn't been there? You've described the crush so well, it feels real. this whole thing feels real.

And all the little things that indicate that Marth probably likes him back stir up a few 'aw's and giggles from this fangirl.

So, I kind of forgot what else I was going to say... Sorry...

I'd tell you to get the hell back to fanfiction, but you are, you're just not updating this story. So I'll tell you that I'm sure quite a few people would appreciate an update!

(Whoops, damn mousepad hit post) -description. But what really got me was the smooth flow. I love how the events themselves may seem bland and ordinary (none of those cliche dates but rather, a simple meeting at a coffeehouse, apartment, campus, or even laundry mat) yet your words bring hem to life. Your stories really keep my heart anxious to see the development, and bring a huge smile to my face when everything works out. By the way, out of all the SSBB docs I've ever read to date, I think your characterization by far the best. The subtleties in Marth's elegance and Ike's boyish demeanour are brilliant. Thanks again for writing these, and kudos for making this reluctant one review.
