   Blue Leaf Green chapter 41 . 6/29 Can't believe how right Elaine and Pryce were about Morty.. I think the thing that Elaine did to hurt Jasmine, was that she only conceived Jasmine so that David would marry her and give her a stable financial situation / home. Quickly looking to chapter 74, it seems Elaine told Jasmine to get pregnant in order to survive. But Jasmine did not want to continue the cycle that her mother created, getting pregnant so as to get a man's financial help, and then raising and telling her child that men only use them for sex. Jasmine's fears of love and pregnancy also come from her mother's disturbing actions and views that she and other women need to bear a child for a man in order to have a home. |
| Guest chapter 5 . 4/22 My GOD, this is depressing... Jasmine is such an absolutely miserable character; she hates everything and everyone. At this point, I'm going to keep reading another couple of chapters, just to see if things pick up, but if this is just 660k words of her moaning about how miserable she is, I don't think I can keep going for too much longer. |
