![]() ![]() ![]() Not as dark as I hoped it would be, but this story was WONDERFUL! How did you manage such a masterpiece, anyway?! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Really impressive story. Well and very original. Thank you |
![]() ![]() ![]() It is good to see that Mr. Bennet carried though with the restrictions set against Lydia and presumably Kitty. Perhaps it will alter their characters for the better. I felt bad for Elizabeth when she expressed that she didn't know that marital relations could be pleasant and even enjoyable. I enjoyed each of the reflections of the guests towards the newlyweds. It was a lovely touch, and a great to round out the story, before the ending with Elizabeth and Darcy happily lounging in each other's arms. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well good riddance to bad rubbish! He died the same way he did in Version 1, though not soon enough in my mind. I agree with Robertson, Elizabeth will make for a good mistress ajd landlady now that she is out from under the Earl's thumb. I did like how similar, yet different Lydia's leave taking of Brighton was. No Wickam to seduce her, she might have made it out the other side, if not for the chance encounter with her brother in law. Her actions in finding an escape is credible, if not completely thought through. Fortunately all ended well enough. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Despite the infamy of the Earl's actions, l love that we got a proposal and a reply at the end of this chapter. It is the light at the end of a very dark and dangerous tunnel. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I really like the idea of Charlotte and Colonel Fitzwilliam. I think as we have already seen that they could be quite happy together. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love the pearls before swine comments, as it is brilliant. Though l did first hear of it in the 3rd installment of Richard E. Grant's Scarlet Pimpernel. I admitly squealed happily when l read it here, so yeah l might be a bit biased on that note. On another note, l am really enjoying what you've done with the au story of Elizabeth and Darcy. How things could have been different than they were. For better or horribly worse. As much asl love the original, l adore reading 'what if' stories, and seeing the differences that occur. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I’m glad Darcy did not have to kill the Earl, but happy he’s dead. That guy was a monster! Really like the story. Ending so romantic. I don’t think I’ve read anything like this yet. |
![]() ![]() ![]() There is a lot of unnecessary repetition in the chapter. We already know the info surrounding Darcy going the Rosing’s after Ramsgate. We were there when it happened in the first chapter. You don’t need to say it again and then have him explain it in detail to Elizabeth again etc. it does not help the flow of the chapter at all. I am enjoying the story otherwise... that is except the abuse scenes, which are frankly making me a bit ill... sorry. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh God! Can the Earl die now please? I can’t take this much longer! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you, I enjoyed this version very much. I must commend your excellent writing skills in maintaing suspense and excitement in your storytelling. I couldn't put the book down. I have listed both these stories as favourites. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Yay! Duels over! What internal conflict she must have had oefore presenting herself like that...isn't he awesome tho. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Can't say I didn't expect Wickham to act any less. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Im soo glad Lizzy got the rest she needed finally! And George's acceptance is such a breath of fresh air. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm thirsty...bloodthirsty. Retribution next chapter, please! |
