Great story! You portrayed Achille's war weariness well. We can tell Achilles is jaded. He used to like the thrill of the fight. But without his beloved friend, it all becomes meaningless.

I grinned at the comment about Agammenon. :D. I certainly don't remember these exact words in the Illiad ;). I suspect you may have paraphrased somewhat. I wonder how you say that in Ancient Greek?!
