it took me 2 days to read this whole fic, i gotta say your story is addictive, i couldn't put it down. the war chapters were hard to read, it's so well written that i could feel the characters dread and fears.

i love period fics and this gotta be one of my favorites, well done! i don't know if you guys will continue with this story but i would love to read more. :)

This is really a rather interesting story thus far. The details of the war in earlier chapters were pleasantly accurate and evocative, and the issue with Blaine and the socks in this chapter is heart-breaking. It's a very-well thought out response to the trauma he has suffered- are we to suppose that Blaine has PTSD? That would be an interesting dynamic to explore in his blossoming relationship with Kurt. I have one small suggestion: generally, any swearing ought to be confined to the dialogue unless the narrative is written in first person. I noticed in this chapter you wrote "that would be a shit way to start their relationship"; as this was not dialogue and or Blaine's first-person stream-of-consciousness, I just thought I'd point out that another adjective may have been more appropriate. Using swear-words as adjectives in a third-person narrative can come across as lazy. But aside from that, this fic is very well-written. Methinks Quinn and Rolph need to get a shotgun wedding organised before anyone is disgraced! I look forward to an update.

i started reading this story today and i really like it even though the idea of kurt and blaine fighting in war makes me extremely nervous and worried. i don't hate you for "killing" cooper but aaaaah i'm in pain at the moment. please continue writing because i think i love where this is going. thanks.

when i read this chapter, i was shaking! i had to see what happened next and i realized this chapter was the one that opened the doors for kurt and blaine's freedom and safety! it was tough but wow was i relieved! beautiful fic :)

hah, leave it to kurt and blaine to flirt in a hole during WWI :3 they are too cute, but it was so sad because of the circumstances. again, incredible work, needs more recognition

when i reached this chapter, i was in awe! the writing was mindblowingly good, you capture the feel of the war, the shell hole and desperation so perfectly, it was almost as if i was there with kurt and blaine.
