How is Katniss still friends with Gale here? He is a selfish irredeemable asshole who treats everyone like shit. The fact that she still apologizes for him makes me question her morals. Why would Peeta want someone like this? Being stubborn and on fire is one thing. Accepting maltreatment of yourself and others is something else. And she never called him out on his shit. just in case you're still reading reviews. it's 2017 and im still rereading this wonderful fic. after the 8th read, im wishing that somehow you included how katniss first slept with peeta. a big thanks for not removing your work from the net.

I will say this. You certainly captured the dysfunction of Katniss and Stale very well. For s supposed so-called girl on fire she is sure a minion around Gale. He acts like a possessive ass in almost every setting where he's not in control or the center of anntwrnion and she fucking apologizes for it. That's not fierce it's sad. I understand loyalty and that is thre basis of their relationship but come on. This has nothing to do with attraction as a reviewer seems to imply. This is about not being strong or brave enough to call out a friend for being an asshole. He acts like he owns her and she lets him. What losers. Peeta should stay away.

The king of all douches is nothing if not predictable,he always wants to do anything nd anyone he can get away with and get nasty and violent if katniss doesn't cave to his opinion that I'm only trying to protect you because there is a possibility that Peeta or any merchant friend or boy is just like I trying to protect your reputation by making everyone think you're doing me in the woods,and scaring away anyone who might be better for you by telling them were if I haven't told you lately I'm great and no matter what I do or how bad I treat don't wanna lose me for a good job leading stupid puppy dog peeta on and using him for selfish gain,I couldn't have done it better myself,if I wasn't throwing a tantrum id be proud,I think they deserve each other were both selfish unfriendly and think were above everyone else .let's act tough and tease the merchant's for acting like love Dizzy

Did you intend this to be a staleniss story?because that's what it is. You spend chapter and chapters showing how Katniss is a deferential simpering apologetic child around Gale, running after him while he treats people like shit and apologizing to him for having the audacity to have other friends. She has a codependent sap around. Then you wrap up Everlark with three lines at the end with Katniss dismissively treating Peeta like an annoying fly.

I loved it. So much angst and I loooove angst. Very well-written and I thought you captured all the characters remarkably well.

This story is amazing. And I know what you mean about the reviews. I honestly do the same thing. I loved it and really liked that you didn't include the games.
