What...noooooooooo need a better ending than that

Sure not how I thought this would end, but they are together and working as one! So, I have to say it is a pretty good ending!

Was this the plan all along? Has Smith set him up?

Oh! Wouldn't that have been neat! Smith being more than just Montgomery's friend! I like it!

He doesn't know what was said? He only wants her to be okay. Of course he would.

Poor thing doesn't think she can trust Castle now! That has to be breaking her heart!

How have I missed this story for so long! It is so good so far!

Such a great twist using Mr. Smith to drive the plot like this.

Love the premise and the writing style.

I read chapter one when it has been published and read the whole story this week-end. I like this new point of view. The idea also was new. I'm happy like a child because I guessed right from chapter 1 (and childish to write it here !). I was a little afraid that it could become a lachrymose story, with happy reunion... Sorry to have think it ! It was not. The plot is brilliant. And the way you show how it could affect Castle, how Beckett takes care of him, their hands linked up... It was a great story !

How do you think of this stuff? This story has more twists and turns than a mountain switchback. Riveting though...can't wait for the next chapter.

I have perseverated as to whether or not I was going to leave a review, but here goes...

I'd like to start by saying that I read all of your work (the collective authors). I think that amount of work each of you share with the fic lovers out there is pretty darn awesome.

However...(yeah, I think you felt this coming)...

However, I could not believe that with the caliber of writers on this fic that it turned out this way. Yes, I wasn't a fan of the whole "Smith is Castle's father" thing and thought it was ill conceived, but what I think what disappointed me the most was that you (the collective) punked out at the end. You spent the first two chapters back tracking and changing canon to suit the story and nothing came of it. I finished reading it and I was like, "What was the point of this story?"

That's not to say that there weren't moments that were nice. Some of the Kate / Rick moments were enjoyable. I just...it felt that there were so many conflicting styles and ideas trying to break through here and in 6 chapters I don't think anything was done justice. I don't think that this type of story-the whole 'who is Castle's daddy' story line-should have been attempted unless there was more of a follow through and more of a plot involved.

I have a deep respect for anyone who is willing to put their work out there. Fics included. It takes a lot to do so. And maybe I shouldn't voice my opinions so liberally. I don't mean to offend anyone. I just have read far better work from each individual and felt that there really wasn't much of a story here.

Hum.. I like this way of looking at it- on the whole I like this season the best, though I do think it a bit of a stretch that Kate seems not to even suspect what Castle's been doig for the past several months.
