My goodness. What can I say beyond the obvious? This story is amazing, and left me moved. It was touching, well thought out, fully fit into the canon and everyone was in character. My only quibble? How did you find the restraint to not mention the fact that Martin and Sherlock are twins?! I mean, whoa. You have skills. In conclusion, this was an extremely well written story that will always have a place in my heart.

My dear, I'm really enjoying this story, your younger Martin and John are really well drawn and compelling, and I like the narrative thrust to get them to the people we know they will be. It's a good retcon.

But I almost didn't read this, becuse you really really delve into the info dump. I know this is done so this is just a tip for the future. Ther'es a LOT of debate and advice for how much to tell vs show and all that, but in general: Readers don't need it all at once, just enough to propell the scene. Your writing isn't what you say, but often what you DON'T say, or what you show with body language or a single sentence instead of a paragraph. And, you're tipping your hand by over explaning.

I don't know if I am that forgiving enough to want to forgive John... but I do understand the need for John to have Sherlock... and, after all, I regard Martin and Sherlock to be the same person anyway! Muahahahaha... Sigh, Benedict... what more can we mere mortals ask for?

Can't wait to see if there will be future development between John and Martin! And! is Martin paid working with MNJ or he's not?

Oh, John. Thank you for portraying them both as flawed. I loved being able to watch Martin grow, he's so much more than he was at the beginning of the story. This is one of those unsung fanfics that I really think everyone should be reading.

This is awfully wonderful - heart-breakingly so. I love Sherlock, I do, but I find myself... bitter. Like, how dare he steal John away! XD
