I've read this story a couple of times already and I've got to say, this is the best one I've read so far. I loved eveyrthing, the characterization, the connections... Great oneshot!

I was really hoping that there were more Hope/Lightning moments in the sequel, but I was rather disappointed by the lack of Lightning in the game...but Hope/Lightning is still the best there is. I loved this. I really like your Hope...

I most certainly share your views on Alyssa. And since starting XIII-2, I've grown to like the idea of HopexLightning. I loved your story, but my only criticism would be that I think ten years would have toughened him up a bit. I suppose the line that led me to this criticism is when you depicted that how the burden of everything still makes his shoulders shake when he's alone. I dunno, descriptive words aren't on my side right now. I still enjoyed this however.

I absolutely loathe her too. I noticed when she clung onto Hope, he immediately threw her aside and continued talking to Noel and Serah. And the time he let go of Serah's hands. I thought of the whole "Lightning" look too~

This is probably the best Hope centric oneshot on the Final Fantasy XIII-2 section. I think you captured his character perfectly. And I hope you continue to write more stories like this.

Wow! I haven't got XIII-2 yet, but Hope is very easily my favorite character. I'm really sad that he's not a PC in this one, but I'm excited.

Anyways, wow. I loved the story. You wrote in a very different tense that was semi-hard to follow. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story.
