I do like how the Doctor doesn't realize that his response is natural, definitely a factor of being the last of his kind, he wants to be the best of his kind and glosses over the faults. That scene was terrible too.

Yeah, not sure why the Doctor wasn't getting that, it's obvious what Rory was trying to say. Though, you know, he is the Doctor;)

This goes so well with your other Pandorica story! I love the way you've tied them together.

And just like in the other, I must admire your ability to say SO MUCH with so few words. I love the way you've delved into 11's head - you make him so REAL of a person.

I loved the line: "Dialogue. Oh, it feels good. Don't let anyone know, though, how things feel. I'm the Doctor. I'm carrying the world, again. Altas never got scared when he supported the globe. Did he?" And then whe he does break down and begins to cry. It's so telling. Yes, Doctor, please feel free to cry! You deserve it. You can trust Amy and Rory to let you cry. And sometimes, they really need to see it.

And I Lovelovelovelove the Doctor's part about nightmares (Chameleon Circuit? Eh?) VERY well done. I shall definitely be reading this (both of these) story(ies) over and over again! Love it!

The transition to AU was seamless. Rory's never been more beautiful, either, just as I predicted. (Okay, maybe he's been more beautiful occasionally in the canon, but I LOVE when his nursing instincts take over. This is even before the Last Centurion.) So! Absolutely brilliant.

I just did a story with a similar concept, so it's cool to read a different take on it. Your Doctor's reaction is very insightful, I never liked how in the canon he just shrugs it off.
