I love this story. But season 5 wasnt about Leyton's love for eachother but their connection and who they are with and without eachother. The Peyton that we see at the start of S5 closer to S1 than S4. Same forLuke both were so lost. I believe season 5 was the best season of OTH not just for Leyton but for all, real depth . esp 508 was the best esp. of the season as to show just how lost and how much pain Luke was in he was just masking it. But Peyton knows how he is she the sameway. S6 was my favorite. And for the record Peyton wasn't weak and whinny in S5 unless your Dan Scott.

I really hated the oth writers after painfully watching what they did with my fav, tv character in that godawful season. It was as though they purposely wanted to distance the fans from the character. I think there must have been a bunch of peyton hating writers that convince schwann to let them play. The entire season was filled with false character moments that didn't ring true to character. Anyway, so thanks for making a positive contribution to the character. Truly.

okay so I just went back and read some parts of it again. And, I have to comment a second time. The writing is so so so great! Just everything with their perspectives and how you wrote it and your ideas, all tied together. It's just awesome. ok. I'll stop obsessing now haha.

WOW. this was great! I couldn't stop reading. I don't know how you did it, but, I've been reading countless entries along the similar story line of LP season 5, and only a few stick out. Me being a huge LP fan, I read them all the time bec I miss them not being on the show. I havnt found a good one in a long time but urs was great! seriously. Please write more LP stuff. Wow. I loved hearing their thoughts, it was written quite well. I soooo wish I could actually watch it like a movie. I dunno if this will make sense to u but the story line wasnt necessarily so different but, from the way you wrote their thoughts, you brought in new ideas in that way. Well, basically it was really good!

Perfect, simply perfect!

I don't know what mark swahnn was doing to my beloved characters when he produced season five- he screwed up the whole show and ruined a couple that took years to build its image.

He made peyton I crying desperate women, while that's not what she was at all. I have a sneaking suspicion that mark was hating on peytons character since middle season three. Brooke became the focus of the show, the aparrent selfless girl with the evil mother. Mark stopped developing the friendship between hayley and peyton(season 1) and all her storylines almost never included the core five. She had her mother, stalker, shooting and whatever. But I feel like mark never spent any time developing peyton's relationships with the core five exept for brooke and lucas. I'ts no wonder people love brooke more- brooke was more involved. Season five was the ultimate storyline that made people dislike peyton. Why did mark not focus on the peyton of season 1- 3? Why did her character have to be waiting for jerk lucas. The peyton of season 1 would not have tolerated this and would have moved on. You captured that peyton it your story. The strong, slightly insecure and guarded peyton that that knew her self. She did not seek her identity in luke. I loved your hayley...I mean? Who was she? Choosing a girl she had known for two years over peyton?and knowing their history she should have realised they belong together instead of berating her for the kiss. Anyway i've ramblem irrelevantr stuff now. My point was, that since middle season 3, mark made peyton weak and dependent and that peyton featured more in season 5. I'm glad you took that away. Haha, I don't think you're going to understand what the heck I just said- The importand thing is that I simply loved this fic. No grammer mistakes, good, coherent storyline. Thank u for writing a leyton, they are missied. Escpecially with hillarry not even returning to the final season. Please write more stories!sorry for any errors- I'm typing from my phone.

Ahhh season 5 my personal pet peve... Mark Schwahn and the other writers for OTH could have learned a thing or two from you... your sequence of events far, far better than theirs. Enjoyed immensely. Keep up the good work.

Amazing story! I love what you did with Peyton in this fic. I never saw her as weak in s5, just a little lost and it was understandable because of what happened in LA both personally and professionally. But this Peyton is much stronger and she knew that she has to go back to who she was. I would have loved to see "Pete" in s5.
