I like how you describe the difference between a sketch and a painting, and the little details that you can notice that you otherwise might not pay attention to visually but would really *feel* tactily. Anyway, I don't read fanfic of all the shows I like, but I wanted to read some CA and explore the fandom, and I'm so pleased to see there are good writers and good fic in this fandom.
