I loved the ornament stories that they shared, especially Belsnickel and Jack's question about what happens to naughty children. (Although admittedly, I misread "Pelz-Nicholas" as Pez-Nicholas at first and I wondered 'a pez dispense with fur?')

The dynamics of their relationship is nicely shown here, as is their understanding of each other.
