(bah stupid iPhone pressed done far too soon - sorry!) (...) see this progress with Spike's duality coming together and his 'enslaved' self reconciling with the cocky bastard we know and love. Hoping Giles will rehabillitate him and we can look forward to Spike's slow integration within the Scoobies. I am not sure how frequently this is updated but I really really hope it's something that will be finished. Really interesting portrayal of both the characters and the dynamic between them. Great dialogue too - I can hear every line said in the characters' respective voices. Looking forward to reading more soon (please!) x

You wrote the conflict and turmoil well. Poor Spike. The more we learn of his treatment, the worse I feel for him. And both Anya and Giles are right, Giles has made him an object and a pet. No matter wether that bothers Giles or not, he is still doing it. Poor Spike has to be the epitome of confused and uncertain.

For someone who was 'surprised' by Spike's actions, Giles sure fell right back into the Master roll very quickly. I can help but think this won't be good for Spike's mental healing. Nicely done.

Ugh, he's a psychological mess. It'll be interesting to see what the others think when they talk to him.

I think they might have to do a memory spell. It will probably be awful for Spike because if he has managed to forget any of the abuses it will come back. But he can't go on thinking he is a pet or slave.
