I really like this fanfiction! In my opinion you have really done a great job in making their personality and probable reactions believable. Gaaah my inner fangirl is squeling in delight xD I am also really impressed with the mystery itself, just great! And very well written, I hate when people write too much slang and too hastily and whatnot, But kudos to you! And I looove the slow burn! I really hate it when some writers make them proclaim their undying love for each other, in like the second chapter, and then just write fluffy smut and hearts and unicorns and shit.. (even if I'm also yearning for some JohnLock Action.. but as they say, If your waiting for something good...)

In my opinion the reason Reid buried some couples under rose bushes (love and devotion) and some under yew bushes (sorrow and loss) is rather obvious. I think it's safe to assume that the couples he buried under yew bushes were having marital problems and he used the yew to symbolise that, while the happy and devoted couples were buried under rose bushes. After all, wasn't it stated earlier that the Davidsons were having problems with the marriage? And we know the Ashdowns had a happy, stable relationship, as they were planning to adopt and you don't do that if you're having problems with your potential fellow parent.

Oh god I'm dying for the next chapter, I love this story!

Well, I knew what I was getting myself into when I saw that the story was marked as incomplete, but you had me hooked since chapter 1, so I simply had to finish this. I just wanted to let you know that your lovely fic was the perfect balm to a very rough week I've had. Your characterization was utterly perfect, your ability to keep details in place was impeccable, and the overall plausibility of the whole thing was incredibly realistic. In essence: I love everything about this story.
I know that real life has a way of ruining plans for writing, and I know that at times, it can take years for real life to leave you alone long enough to get some work done.
