It would seem really awkward to be staying in the same hotel with your sibling and to get seperate rooms even if you did not habitually travel and share a double.

It is so true as the moon and the stars in the sky that dean but it never goes to stop taking care of sammy, and to sorrow that sammy said to dean it ever ever, the pure truth is that sam knows that always dean goes to be taking care of him

I felt so sorry for both of them after their talk. Sam wanting Dean not to worry so much, but knowing he needs his big brother and Dean taking it the wrong way. But after reading your take on it, I feel so much better. Thank you for that. Great story too.

THIS! This is how the show should go! Seriously. Sammy should get his mind back in gear, realize that Dean NEEDS to take care of Sam. Seriously, that look on his face when Sam said that, when Dean was standing there by the car, it broke my heart. I wanted to cry!

Another very sweet one.

I actually grinned when Sam said this and saw the look on Dean's face. It is like telling a mom not to worry about her kid because he is all grown now - not going to happen, Sam. Although it is a nice sentiment. Sam has always wanted more for Dean then Dean wanted for himself. So I loved seeing exactly that here. I also liked that Sam does not like being tied down and that Becky does not know that because, Chuck admitted he did not put everything in those books. So Becky only thinks she knows everything. Nice tag!

This was great and I wish that we had seen something like this at the end of last night's episode. I'm getting kind of tired of the whole 'Sam's a grown-up' nonsense. For goodness sake we know he is, that's not the point. It would be foolish for the brothers not to look out for each other, especially considering what they do and the emotional repercussions of it all. After all, who else would they turn to? The whole 'co-dependent' bull is also annoying. Yes, in the real world, they would be exactly that...but Sam and Dean do not live in suburbia...they do not have a large support network made up of loving friends and family. They live in a dark and bloody world where they are not only brothers, but comarades-in-arms...they depend on one another for their very lives. Only one another, because there is no one else. Having a sibling who loves you and wants to take care of you regardless of some rough spots in your history is a good thing. Plus, I find it very hard to believe that someone can be independent when they are hallucinating pretty much nonstop. Hopefully, the writers for the show are going somewhere good with that premise because I'm finding it very hard to swallow.

Anyway, I loved how you had Sam trying to find little ways to keep Dean with him. Because no matter how strong he wants everyone to believe he is, he still needs his big brother. Nothing wrong with that!

What a horrible episode, and what's with the "we're all grown up and we don't need to depend on each other any more."

The brothers co-dependency and the "tangled-up crazy thing" they have is what makes the show.

If they take that away we're just as well going off to watch any old soap opera.
