I knew a Chuck and Blair's first move against Jack was going to backfire. It just felt a little sloppy for a Chuck and Blair scheme. I think they can do better. But now it looks like Jack is onto Chuck and Blair, or Chuck at the very least, so he'll be expecting anything they do and see them coming from a mile away. Meaning they need to be careful and any future schemes need to be well thought out. I just hope they won't turn on each other trying to bring forth Jack and will continue to work as a team. They can't afford any mistakes or discourse among each other if they want to bring down Jack. He's 2 steps ahead. It's time they step up their game. It definitely keeps me on the evite of my seat while reading.

Looks like Blair's association with Chuck is already creating problems for Blair's social standing. I just hope she doesn't lose herself in her quest to help Chuck. I hope they can be happy together and individually with Blair still forging her own future. I hope she proves Heather wrong. It seems she has a lot in her plate now. The society, her potential internship and helping Chick. I hope she can find a way to find a balance and not lose herself in the process.

It was nice seeing Bart and Kim on the same page and see eye to eye for once. I think that conversation between them was long overdue, and glad they both shared their regrets of the past and are working together as a team. Should be interesting to see Kim move to New York and how everyone adjusts to Bart's situation. Nothing will ever be the same again as it will make the Basses social pariah's and how it'll effect those around them. I'm curious to know what happened the night of the fire and if Bart really did it. I don't think he was trying to harm Misty, but it wouldn't surprise me if he did it to try and collect the insurance money. And I think society will now be suspicious of the Basses. I think from Bart's silence when Lily stated it wasn't true, though Bart may have done it. He can't buy his way out of it this time line he Bart have gotten away with in the past.

I'll interested to see what Kate's angle is. Does she really want to help Evelyn get the throne back, or is there something in it for her with Evelyn as Queen over Sera or Catherine. I don't blame Evelyn for being skeptical, but hopefully she won't let us down as a double agent. I really liked Evelyn and Ozzy's first date and the swimming pool party was surprisingly sweet. I like how he tried to get Evelyn to overcome her dear if swimming and helped her relax. I also like how Evelyn gave Ozzy advice on his dad, and to give him a chance. I like that even if her faith in Bart is forever shaken, she doesn't regret moving to New York. I hope they can continue to be a source of strength and comfort Inn each and finding some normalcy with the Bart situation. I look forward to your next update.

I knew from the start that Chuck and Blair’s scheme was doomed to fail; they can definitely do better! And I’m happy that Bart and Kim’s conversation cleared up a few things, mainly the fact that Bart didn’t intentionally hurt Misty (which confirms my suspicions). I’m super curious to find out what really happened! And omg I LOVE Evelyn and Ozzy’s intimate moments! That pool date ended up being really sweet, and I‘m really looking forward to seeing how their relationship develops! Thank you for a great chapter, and as always can’t wait for the next one!

I like seeing Kim and Bart really working together and seeing somewhat eye to eye for a change. I’m really curious to see how receptive Evelyn and Chuck are to their teamwork and attempt at openness.

It’s so nice to see Evelyn and Ozzy being there for one another and having a go at some normalcy. I hope they can continue offering each other strength and comfort and NOT letting Catherine come between them. I can’t wait to see how Kate does as a double agent and I’m really crossing my fingers that she won’t let us down!

Chuck and Blair’s duplicity is making me so nervous! I really hope they can continue acting as a team and not turn on one another if things continue to not go so smoothly. I don’t want Blair to lose herself in her quest to help Chuck, so they can just continue being happy together and so she can shove it in Heather’s face.

Can’t wait to see where we go next!

Wow, this chapter was intense. By the sounds of Bart's thoughts and his lack of response when Evelyn asked him to say it was a misunderstanding z that there's some semblance of truth to it. How will the Bass family ever overcome this I wonder. I'm sure it'll complicate Evelyn and Chuck's social status at their schools and make them social pariah's. Hopefully they'll be there for each other, even though there dealing with it in different ways atleast Chuck didn't run away like past Chuck would have done in a heartbeat. I see that as progress. And Evelyn going back to her old life briefly. I think she was a bit unfair to Ozzy, but I guess she didn't know his step dad was arrested with Bart. What they need is communication of their relationship is ever going to work.

I have to talk about Chuck and Blair this chapter. I'm glad they are back together and have revised to focus their efforts on brining down Jack rather than against each other. I can't imagine it'll be easy though, as he seems to be a step ahead of everyone and is a master manipulator. I just hope they don't end up in a situation like they did in season 3 of the show with Jack. I'm sure he'll try everything to destroy Chuck and Blair. Hopefully they'll be united in their right against Jack and bring him down once and for all and regain control of Bass Industries. I love that she worried about him and decided to come back early just to make sure he's okay and for once they're on the same page. I love that she's decided to stand by him this time, even though he'll become an outcast in society.

I love that Ozzy went all the way to Connecticut to fix things with Evelyn. He has no idea what he did wrong, but the fact he tried to fix things on his own shows that he takes their relationship seriously. It should be interesting to see what happens when his father returns to New York. The arrests of Bart and Philip at the same time can't be a coincidence. And I think it's pretty clear it was Jack behind it. Looks like Bart's past is finally catching up to him and may lose his family and reputation as a result.

Evelyn needs to grow up one minute she wants this life and is acting beyond her years and within a blink she’s acting like a 6yr old... I’m liking your version of Bart and I felt so bad for him like his family ghosted him I’m hoping this misty business was a mistake and Jack is bitter because he was obsessed and she didn’t want him

And yes Jack deserves to be taken down, and I can’t wait to see CB plot and scheme for Jack’s downfallbut he is an expert so I don’t think this will be too easy...
I really didn’t understand why Evelyn was that mad at Ozzy for not answering her calls on the Friday night, and was kind of disappointed at her behaviour, but maybe that stems from me wanting to see more of her and Ozzy! And I loved that he drove all the way to Connecticut to fix them!
From the way you wrote Bart’s thoughts, I’m pretty sure the accusations are somewhat true, and damn, I really hope there’s a twist to it and that it was an accident that Misty was there because otherwise this will end up ruining the Bass family.

Yes yes yesssss. SO happy Chuck and Blair are finally on the same side, working as a team and not against others. I’m a little wary of their decision to focus their duplicity on Jackfingers crossed this doesn’t backfire or end up like the hotel trade situation.

I’m happy Ozzy took some action to get Evelyn back. I was getting a little nervous about her and Nate’s closeness rekindling. Something about that gives me the heeby jeebies.

I’m interested to see how things pan out when not only Evelyn returns to the city, but also Lily, Serena, and Eric. I wouldn’t be surprised if Lily extended their stay in Florida a little bit to avoid the drama.

As promised, here is the review for my next chapter a few days later. I'm glad to finally be caught up and I'll be able to read the next chapter as soon as it is posted now.

I had a feeling the burning of Bart's old building had something to do with Misty's bass's death. In some ways Barry is like Russell in the real show. I'm the way they both accidently caused their wives deaths by burning down a building. I have to wonder if Misty Bass was having an affair with Jack? They seemed offely close, by the looks of the photograph and how Jack speaks of her. If that's the case, it would make sense in why Jack wants to take everything from Bart. Should be interesting to see how it'll effect the Bass family, Evelyn especially. She doesn't know much about Bart's past. I hope Chuck and Evelyn will be able to get past this, with the support of their friends and family. I'm interested to see how all this drama will unfold. This will be hard for Bart to get out of. I knew something was going to happen with Bart at the end as soon as Bart broke into Jack's office.

Love seeing Chuck lend a helping hand for Blair during the election to make sure she got the VPO position. I love Chuck's confidence in Blair in that role and how he's able to plant the idea of Blair as VPO to his peers. The boys send to be the easy ones to influence, the girls a bit more difficult. But in the end it paid off. Glad Blair and Chuck seem to be getting closer to being on the same page again. But I wonder if any progress will take some steps backwards because of the Bart situation. I hope they'll eventually find their way back to each other though. Glad Julian told Blair of what Chuck did for her. He knows why Chuck did it and the only one who didn't was Blair herself. Even if they're not together, there's no denying Chuck would do anything for Blair, sent vice-versa.

I'm happy with how the Ozzy/Dash/Evelyn scenario played out. I'm a bit surprised Dash was so forgiving and understanding of Ozzy and Evelyn's growing relationship. Though I don't think he's totally cool with it, the fact that he didn't lash out and was understanding of it is a good thing in my books. That way he doesn't have to worry about jeopardizing his relationship with Dash to be with Evelyn. Even offering him advice. Finally Ozzy isn't running away from how he feels or what he wants. He's embracing it and finally him and Evelyn are together. I hope with the Bart drama she won't push him away when he tries to be there for her.

It should be interesting to see how the Bass family dynamic as well as chair and Evelyn/Ozzy (not sure what their ship name should be) are effected by Bart being arrested. I wonder how this will effect Chuck's quest to take control of Bass Industries again.

Sorry about the late review. I'm going to try and read the next chapter in the next few days. Then by the time you update again, i'll be able to stay up to date. I've been playing catch up on five lately.

I'm glad that Evelyn and Ozzy are looking forward instead of backwards. The only question is what will that do to Ozzy and Dash's relationship. They recently made a deal regarding Evelyn. I personally hope Ozzy didn't follow through with it and that Dash will understand. It's not like him and Evelyn have any chance in the future anyway. I hope he won't let it come between them. I love the way Ruby noticed that Ozzy was happier just by his tone and same with Eric and Evelyn. Hopefully this means they'll gravitate closer to each other in the future chapters. It makes sense a writing project would bring them back into each other's orbit.

Valentina just continues to throw herself at Chuck. Hopefully Chuck is just getting closer to her to influence her and the girls with Blair and the election, which I suspect he is. She just continues to embarrass herself and hope of Blair wins that there'll be a takedown to follow. The boys seem easy to influence compared to the girls. Seems like Blair will have Heather's support in the very least. I did not see it coming that she would have been the one to leak the hazing story about Blair. Seems like she feels she owes Blair, but I also think Blair surprised her this chapter. I liked seeing Blair bond with the girls at Locke and Keye. Even if she didn't start off on the right foot with them. It kind of reminded me of Blair's storyline at NYU where she tried to throw a party and no one showed up. Luckily she turned things around and she's that much closer to getting the VPO position. Glad that Julian advised her on the steps she has to take to be the future president of Locke and Keye. He's been kind of like a mentor towards her. Looks like Chuck is going to do everything in his power to make sure she is elected too. But probably without Blair knowing, or in sure atleast that's Chuck's plan.

Looks like Bart's past continues to haunt him. I'm starting to wonder if whatever Jack has on Bart has something to do with Misty's death. Whatever Jack Has on Bart, it has him terrified. I'm looking forward to seeing this storyline unfold. I have a feeling it's about to stir up some drama soon. He's on edge buy the sound of things.

This review has been a long time coming! I really slacked off during the last few chapters, but I’m back!

This chapter was everything I needed in these weird times, so thank you! My OTP Chuck and Blair seem to realise that they don’t wanna be without each other any longer, and Evelyn and Ozzy are FINALLY A COUPLE, ugh I’ve been rooting for them for so long, I’m so happy they worked it out! And Bart, oh my oh my... In a way the last few chapters culminated in this chapter. And we finally find out what happened at that Bass building fire years ago! So I see that this Bart seems to be the real show’s Thorpe, in that he (accidentally?) killed his wife in the fire. Maybe it’s cause she was having an affair with Jack? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!

Such a cliffhanger! I’m looking forward to seeing how exactly the Bass family reacts to Bart being arrested, and also very curious to see how this will affect the C&B and E&O dynamics!
