Came back to re-read and this is still my most favouritest one piece SI/OC! Much love.

This story was one completely different from all the other si/oc one piece fics and you did an amazing job at it too! It's been a long time since your last update but I still come back every once in a while to see if it's been updated, this is an amazing work you've created and I hope one day there might be another update to it

Is weird but,to this day,I'm still waiting for a new chapter. Idk, your story just sound so unique,actually showing us a protagonist that DIDN'T like to be here, that have a very storng personality and values different things and have problems with the things that,in the One Piece, are kinda of the norm. It really have the potencial of a lot more. I dont know what hou're doing , i just wanted to say that your writting was amazing and I would have love to see Reuben aventures with the Strawhats

Dude this fucking fic is super hilarious, I love how you're handling Rueben the kid is a fucking riot, the good kind of course. I hope you continue to write this fic, but if not it'll definitely be something to come back to for emotions and giggles. Seriously the dynamic between Luffy and Rueben is great and I love it.

If this story continues, Reuben is going to have to play a bit of a major role in the crew.

In my opinion, he could probably be the Quarter master in charge of Supply Acquisition or some kind of espionage/diplomacy role due to his rather normal upbringing that would allow him to integrate/blend in better.

Reuben and his ongoing struggle to come to terms with what his life is right now. All of that is interesting to read, because it feels all to real. And the ongoing struggle to get along with the people that inhabits the world he now can count himself one of. The fact that he is not stated to have a certain role gives it a feel of mystery, since who knows what Luffy think Reuben is on his crew. On that note it would be interesting to find out what exactly kind of role he would be thought to have. And on another note, the way that Usopp is more seamlessly integrated thanks to his presence is a nice touch. It will be fun to see how that goes in the future. It is fascinating that out of all of them only Reuben is without a stated position on the crew. Since Nami is Navigator, Zoro is the Swordsman, and now with Usopp as the Marksman. And Luffy as the Captain.

Oh my goshhh this fic is great! I’m glad that even tho Reuben is an SI!OC, he’s someone who didn’t know of the existence of One Piece because it would have otherwise taken away the “realness” of the situation.

I find many OC fics tend to think of this world (initially) as a game? And they’re not as bothered by the events that happen, such as Zoro just cutting through Buggy with the intent to kill, as to them characters are just that and “we know that everything’s gonna be fine anyway”. It really just takes away the severity of the situation.

But your fic provides a different perspective, showing a darker side to this world. You focused on details that others don’t think twice about (the buggy pirates suffering from burns from the cannon blast) which are great because that makes your OC, and in turn, his reactions, very realistic because as you’ve said, we all mostly live sheltered lives and we don’t all react positively when suddenly thrown into a dog eat dog world, faced with endless violence and bloodshed. So kudos to you! And omg I cant get over how he spared Cabaji’s life, only to get stabbed in the back Gosh what a horrible wake up call that not all people react well to kindness. Macbeth is always A though I like the referencingI wonder if Reuben understands that it was essentially Zoro who saved his ass as wasn’t it him who tossed his sword? I get the feeling he knows as he recognises the sword but will he ever thank him? Gosh I hope they hurry mend their relationship the tension is killing me . and is Reuben the first mate of the crew? Since he was the first to be recruited but he still thinks he’s not part of them? I do hope he is though as I think his relationship with luffy is interesting, for lack of better words. He reigns luffy in when he’s being too much and luffy in turn keeps him grounded to reality. Ain’t this A* nakamaship going on hahah And also his flashbacks omg what’s this thing about fires ohhhh god I’m not prepared to know.

Didn’t you mention that he wouldn’t be with them til the end and now I’m wondering if he’ll return home becAUSE HE CANT POSSIBLY DIE RIGHT OH MY GOD MY HEARTEU D: but that’s hopefully a long while later so I’m going to enjoy his presence while I can. I can’t wait for future chapters, to see how Reuben changes the storyline and improves in fighting, because despite everything one really can’t survive the grand line being awfully ordinary, can they?
