This was so sad. So... bittersweet. Dick growing up and moving on... healing. God, I never thought about... well, actually, I HAVE considered that Dick didn't get to keep a lot of the things from his past, mementos of his parents, but I never thought to make their wedding rings a symbol like that... oh geez, I'm going to be swamped with plot bunnies now. I'm NEVER going to get to sleep! Why do you have to be so damn inspiring? You're a really good writer.

I seriously think I just died a bit inside... Course I say that so often when reading angsty fics like this, it's a wonder I'm not actually dead yet ;)
I think you played out the emotions and characters to perfection. It all fit together like a very beautiful puzzle.
