Reviews for Unquenchable Fire
Kehlan chapter 1 . 1/13/2019
Oh, this reminds me of the Temeraire series of books. Nicely written.
the crazy ladies chapter 1 . 5/23/2017
It's Iamqueenkk from AO3 and I wanted to leave a quick bit of feedback to tell you how much I loved this fic. I've been slowly making my way through the temeraire series and wouldn't have thought to mix it with narnia and commend you on a FANTASTIC crossover. Thank you!
moon so bright chapter 1 . 1/30/2015
Love the concept!
Susan M. M chapter 1 . 11/25/2013
Very nice to see Eustace growing up, and doing his best (despite his parents' efforts) not to revert to his previous foul self. Quite logical that he would wish to ride a dragon, after having been one. Good job.
gandalf chapter 1 . 9/14/2013
Didn't The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader happen after WWII?
Guest chapter 1 . 7/23/2013
Aww, cool! Eustace is truly special having BEEN a dragon before _–
marmota-b chapter 1 . 5/12/2013
I'm not familiar with Temeraire, but this gives me a taste and it's brilliant. I love Lucy unflappability... And among many other things, I like the bit with Eustace eating a carrot instead of bacon. :D

AAAAAHHHHHHHHH I APPRECIATE THIS FIC SO MUCH MORE PROPERLY NOW. VOLKANNNN. For some reason my favorite line is what Volkan says about Lucy's curtsy. :-DDD

YAY DRAGONS. YAY QUEEN LUCY THE DRAGONRIDER. YAY EUSTACE WHO WANTS TO FLY AGAIN.

The end.
Mercury Gray chapter 1 . 1/24/2013
Just when I thought fanfic couldn't get any better, I go and find this. Two things I absolutely love and which could not go any better together. You won before I'd finished reading the Churchill quotes, which are wonderfully appropriate. Everything after that was pure poetry, in my opinion. Your dragons were delightful to read, and your incorporation of Novik's alternate history and what it would continue to look like into the 40s was spot-on. You got me thinking a lot about what the Great War would look like with dragons, it being one of the first actually aviated conflicts in our timeline. I also wonder if Eustace's experience being a dragon in Narnia would actually be different for him, if he had grown up with the idea of dragons in our world. Part of the fear around that experience, at least as I read it, is that he's so logical and scientific the idea of being something 'made up' terrifies him. But I digress.

I would dearly love to read more of this, if the mood should strike you. If not, then job well done all around.
JovianJeff chapter 1 . 1/7/2013
That was wonderful! It was nice both seeing the mixture of the worlds, and in a sense a future history from Temeraire and company's timeline. Since Temeraire is likely to live into the 21st century, seeing him in context of WWII was a nice treat. I loved the interactions with Lucy and Eustace with the dragons and that last line of the story was beautiful. Thank you for writing and then sharing this story here.
Hebi R chapter 1 . 12/17/2012
I never ever considered this crossover, but now that I have I would very much like to read more of it. Please?
LunaStorm chapter 1 . 9/5/2012
You definitely chose a good point to cross these two worlds over!
I wouldn't mind seeing more of this.
SpaceHead3 chapter 1 . 8/18/2012
Awesome! will there be a sequel?
AllyrienDM chapter 1 . 6/16/2012
Oooh what a fun crossover idea!
InkheartFirebringer chapter 1 . 3/10/2012
Hi, I got your PM and thought I'd reply here. :)

I found this fic when I for hunting for Temeraire-crossovers; yours looked interesting so I clicked. :D

I thought it was a good idea and that it was well-executed; you did a great job. _

I loved hearing about Temeraire's actions during WWII and how the dragons regaled the children with the stories. I also like how Eustace couldn't forget his time as a dragon and how becoming an aviator is now the next best thing for him.

I thoroughly enjoyed; thank you for sharing. :)
