I just read all 18 chapters in 2 days, and I cannot help but feel ... Well, like I NEED to read the rest of your story! Surely, you have finished it by now ... You have finished it, have you not? IF you have, then where is it? And, if you have not, then by the blessed Celestial Bureaucracy, PLEASE DO A.S.A.P.! I also feel that you managed to convey the character's deeper emotions quite well, by the way. You have helped to motivate me. I have been wanting to try my own hand at some Jade Empire fan-fiction ever since my first full play-through of the game, but since my own story will also involve a romance between our heroine and her beloved Sky; I simply cannot begin to write until I have finished reading yours. You may rest assured that the story I will write will also differ greatly from your own even though the path of the Open Palm may be narrow. I know there is room for all whom choose to follow it faithfully to it's end. After all, though we share the same basic plot-line and the same destination; there remain quite a few different ways to get there. Jen zi is the best female character I'd only because she has the most practical outfit. The other 2 are meant to be warriors but have all that extra cloth hanging down to grab.

Wasn't expecting this story to start after the attack but all well. For being such a short chapter it is well written.

When compared to the publishing date the number of chapters has me a little nervous with the updating speed that I'm afraid this story will be abandoned as I've seen to many good stories fall to that fate, but I'll give this a chance and keep on reading.
