Some of your POV's jump without a clear demarcation between, say, Peeta and Katniss. It got confusing when Anise was speaking to Savarin in the drawing room, for example. We started hearing Katniss's perspective when it says we are still in Peeta's.

Really interesting premise! I've read stories about Katniss and Prim being threatened by the possibility of the Community Home, but never do they actually go there.

All my thoughts crash into one another and dissolve until my mind is blank. One idea floats in my brain: this is my first kiss."

YES! Katniss is ranting and raving and Peeta just grabs her and fucking KISSES her! And she utterly melts into a swooning puddle in less than a second! I need more passionate snogging like this! A ravished and thoroughly kissed Katniss is the best Katniss!

This was one of the first Hunger Games stories I ever read, years ago. I love a good Hunger Games AU, and this really does set the standard. Interesting, original, and wonderfully constructed; I cannot believe it was the first fic you wrote. Major props.

Peeta had me smiling through the entire story. His protective nature (taking that hit for Prim) and devotion to Katniss was wonderful to see. Katniss was kind of a pill, but you got that right, too. A lot of authors make her way too extreme. Thanks for giving her a good balance.
