Hey! So... I absolutely love this story. It's, quite honestly, the best Alex Rider fic that I've ever read (I'm not joking). The way you portray Alex is perfect: he still has feelings but his years of being used as a pawn and being subjected to so much has left him cold and jaded. His lack of trust in anyone including MI6 (maybe especially them :) ) along with how his mind is solely focused on infiltrating the family even when Roberto died showcases his new psyche perfectly. And it has literally been killing me waiting for an update! I understand if life has gotten in the way (heaven knows I haven't been able to write anything at all) but if you're abandoning the story, could you let us know? Eliminating false hope and all that :) If you're not abandoning it, I wish you all the luck in the world.

I hope you update sometime soon because its been more than a year since you last did and I'm eagerly waiting for the next chapter...

I have actually read worse teen rated stories, but if it's going to get overly gruesome, changing the rating might be wise.

I love this Alex Rider story, it's my favourite one in this fandom. :) What I really adore is his emotional development and how he slowly grows into an icecold killer, but also into a man who is justifiably feared.
Is there a chance of a next chapter?

Ack, well, it could've been worse...? Nevermind, probably not. But at least he's finally established contact with the Bennevento family. Even if said contact is an asshole of the highest order. I look forward to the next chapter! :D

What happened to "I'll post it tomorrow or the day after?" Just wanted to pint out to you that all you've been getting are really good reviews and everyone enjoys your story so don't give up on it! I've been anticipating the next chapter for ages...

I absolutely adore this story.
The descriptions are immaculate, the dialogue engaging, and the plot refreshing. You don't see much well-written Alex Rider stories that actually contain an original mission anymore. Not to me, anyway. All I know is that I've sifted through 1900 fanfictions about two years ago (there were that many back then, I think) and only a fraction are on-par/above with your story, in terms of quality.
Okay, I think I might be laying it on a little too thick there. But it's true.
First: character. Love your characterisations. I also like the fact that your Eagle didn't seem to be like the immature solider other stories around here seem to portray (even if he wasn't showcased much in your story). I've always wondered how he came to be like that when there was no indication in the actual books about his true personality.
And Something Matthews-Something (the National Security guy-man-thing) - he was despicable. I like it. He's dislikeable, but you don't over do it. He's what I imagine a snobby politician would be, complete with disregard to the lives of people as long as he keeps his influential position. And Sienna, well, she's a spoilt brat, plain and simple. I believe Tommaso is also a spoilt brat, except, you know, more violent and proud and arrogant and mafia-y.
I like Claudio. He seems smart, not your typical hired goon.
I also like the mini stories you wrote before the actual point of the story came along (which is around, what, Chapter 15?). Almost forty thousand words of build-up to the beginning of the actual plot that's actually interesting. Unless those are relevant to the plot. [The incident with Sienna will somehow come to haunt him during his mission. /snicker]
Now, what do I dislike? Well, there was the fact that you dragged out the beginning for forty thousand words, but those were an engaging forty thousand words, so that doesn't count. I don't think I have any major dislikes about your story.

I don't think this deserves an M-rating yet. If it's about the language, the, um, curses you used are still in the T-range, so unless you started spouting the really bad swear words in large amounts, it can still pass off as T. If it's about the violence - still definitely in the T. If it's about sexual content - hell, in that area, you could pass this off as K! (Meaning that there aren't even visible romances yet.) If it's about the nature of your story... Hmm, drugs are a serious thing, not something a kid of eight years old should read about. Usage of drugs can pass off as T, I think, unless it's really extreme.

Um, sorry for this long review. That last paragraph was useless, don't know why I added that. I just saw that author's note and thought: "Nah, definitely not M."

I find myself hating Tommaso, a lot. And that girl, whose name is so insignificant to me that I actually forgot in the last 10 minutes I read it... Or I just have really bad memory. I love how you put little details like that government people are always late because of security; it adds realism to the story. What I don't get is why Romance is one of the categories... It sounds like a one-sided unappreciated creepy crush to me. But, oh well. Please update soon?
