As my throats constricts and tears stain my cheeks, I must applaud you for such a sad, gorgeous, horrible, beautiful story. I had to go back and re-read it to notice that no one directly interacted with John. I am currently emotionally shattered and you should be proud of yourself as your skills are unprecedented. Thank you for this, sincerely, thank you.

I knew just from the description what had happened. Didn't stop me from crying like a baby at the end.

Well that was unexpected and disturbing, but very good.

I saw it coming at about half-way along the story, when no one addressed John up to this point, but it didn't hurt any less. It was heart-wrenching, because I feel that this would have actually happened in canon. It was very well-written, and true to each character, and it made me sad. :( But lovely story.

So I'm not saying that I didn't like it or anything - I think this was a clever and interesting idea and enjoyed reading it - but I'm basically only reviewing to say that you definitely got me there. I did not see that coming. End of story. I was reading through it, kind of trying to figure out the point - the plot, moral, whatever - but mostly just reading for the sake of reading, when I got to that punch line. And damn. I did not see that coming. I thought there was going to be SOMETHING, but surely not THAT. Jeez. And of course, I had to go back and re-read the parts with John to see if it, you know, 'works'. The whole punch line thing. And it totally did. It was so easy to see once I knew what was going on. So yes, good on you for writing this. You got me. Congratulations. :P

oh, god. this hurts. at first i didn't understand, i had to go back. i read some other reviews and finally the tears came. i think it was because i was denying the fact that john could possibly have died. but wow. this is amazing. but it hurts. it really does. wonderfully written. i really thought john was there, it was so realistic. well, time to go and cry. chaio

It's well written. Very well written. The way it all ties up is...wow. I really enjoyed it. Which probably shows I have something wrong with me, loving something that makes me depressed.
