yea, lots of authors do that. they start a story in lets say 2011, and work on it till now, then look back on it, and realize they didn't like where it is heading, or not like how they have written it. to me, that is the problem with stories going on for 4 plus years. after that 3-4 year mark, every update, i expect a re-write or a discontinue note. and like many before you, you chose the re-write option.
i hope you hold off on the proposal and engagment part till the last chapter of the re-write. it made me cringe when he proposed after only going out after a few months, nobody truly thinks of romance anymore, just the quick 'hey, i like her, i am going to propose only after 10 months'. so i hope you have it take longer.

i don't know,
its way to early in my opinion to ask someone to marry them after a short amount of time of truly dating. they are still in the puppy dog stage. to me it should take years of true commitment before people get married, i know loads of people who got married after lets say 10 months and were divorced 6 months later.
yes, i get that they have known eachother for a long time, but it is different that just being friends to lovers, to getting married

Really good, there aren't many Harry/Katie fics and I'm really enjoying this. Can't wait to see the Quidditch World Cup and maybe Harry playing Viktor Krum. The only thing is a lot of these aren't actually canon teams, but it dosn't matter too much.
