I like this ending SO much better! After such a journey and knowing his childhood horrors and how he learned to have true remorse and being the one to sacrifice himself (just like Harry did!) to make sure Voldemort actually died for good, Tom truly deserved to have a new lease on life. I don't know why you changed it, but this feels more like the way it should've ended. I'm glad you kept it here, because I just finished binging the whole story, and this makes a lot more sense to me. Thank you so much for sharing!

Oh fuck I love this ending. I usually like dark angsty shit but... most tomiones end in tragedy and this ending was nice and happy. Nice to see a fully reformed Tom. And hermiones a healer, which made me happy. The other ending left me in TEARS. this entire story was SO GOOD. 10/10 tomione

This is the happy ending I needed. Great story!

As much as I like this one, and them getting a happy ending. I being a dark sort of angsty person think O prefer the other. only because it's hard for me to imagine Tom, yes reformed slightly, but I imagine he would be the type to get bored or let his ambitions run away with himself. So imagining him in a peaceful mundane setting kind of seems out of place, hence I prefer he saw redeption by sacrificing himself, and became the unsung hero to his own villian.
