Reviews for To Err Is Human
BenRG chapter 5 . 12/31/2014
Chell would have known that there would be dead bodies around although, and this is the thing, everything seems to indicate that GLaDOS had the capability to remove the corpses and used it. So, why leave this room untouched? A reminder to herself, maybe?
BenRG chapter 4 . 12/31/2014
Chell is a Johnson. Aperture runs in her blood. I don't think for a second that she intends to let it remain just a lost laboratory hidden far under an anonymous Ohioan wheat field.
BenRG chapter 3 . 12/31/2014
I often wonder why GLaDOS made that mistake. She said that the cores were like tumours and that she heard voices all her life. Maybe, in Chell, she finally found a Test Subject who might be able to end her torment.

Yes, I'm suggesting that she deliberately let Chell into the CPU building and clued her into how to remove the cores in a desire to get rid of them. Maybe she didn't expect that it would destabilise her system and cause her to self-destruct.
BenRG chapter 2 . 12/31/2014
Strangely enough, Doug Rattman was the only person in Aperture to treat GLaDOS as being a living thing from the start. Maybe that's why she never made a serious attempt to hunt him down so long as he stayed out of her way.
BenRG chapter 1 . 12/31/2014
She tried deleting her so she wouldn't feel so bad. Didn't take.
Twilight Okami chapter 7 . 5/31/2012
This was an excellent multi-one-shot story about the flaws of GLaDOS and her relationship to Chell; tolerant, awkward yet distasteful. All the sins were done so perfectly well. You caught GLaDOS' character well; stubborn, sarcastic, dry humoured yet melodramatic. Well done, I enjoyed it :)!
MayDayGirl-Save-Our-Ships chapter 7 . 12/7/2011
What a beautiful way to end it! I really enjoyed all of these chapters! I love how you depict GLaDOS and you really have her voice down.

I love how we got to see the motherly side of her this chapter, and it helped add some closing to the fic. I always felt like GLaDOS would would have some of her own identity problems with Caroline, but I also love the idea of her being very possessive with Chell, especially because Caroline is her biological mother.

And ah, GLaDOS singing Cara Mia again! The image! I love it!
MayDayGirl-Save-Our-Ships chapter 6 . 12/7/2011
You're right, this was a really good one, probably one of the best. And what a great example of GLaDOS being sulky and sensitive hehe.

I wonder what made Chell doubt her decision to befriend GLaDOS. Perhaps it was just a combination of things, and worries.

But I really liked how you described GLaDOS physically reacting to Chell's verbal blow, that was very well done.

Nitrospira chapter 5 . 11/3/2011
The GLaDOS dialogue in this chapter is absolutely wonderful. Honestly some of the best I've seen. And this miiight just be my favorite chapter (though it's hard to choose) just because it's the one that pulled me into the world of Aperture the most.

Chell's thoughts as she wandered through the facility and then GLaDOS saying "I really don't think you have any idea how odd it feels for me to have you down there, not testing" were just too perfect. As did the reference to GLaDOS as a 'moody friend'. It's funny and lighthearted, and then Chell walks into a room full of skeletons and my mind is sent reeling. But the way they came to an understanding and learned that they both trusted each other made this an overall very touching story.

Nitrospira chapter 6 . 11/3/2011
GAH - I loved this! I was close to skipping to this chapter when you mentioned it to me, but I'm honestly glad I read through the previous five before getting to this because I honestly felt a connection to the GLaDOS you've depicted here.

What I particularly liked about this chapter was how it goes into a very complicated topic (such as a supercomputer feeling actual pain as a result of the actions of a human) but manages not to oversimplify or overcomplicate it. For example, hinting at emotions through speech and 'body language' and really giving the feeling that 'Wow, this is an AI discovering emotion for the first time'.

Also, I think one of the best parts (other than the ending, because that was hilarious and so fitting of Aperture's queen) was after GLaDOS said 'I want you to make up your mind for once, if it isn't too much to ask'. I think the fact that she would recall every past instance of Chell acting attached is spot-on characterization. It's great how they both managed to slip humor into their conversation, even though you could tell that they were both going through internal wars.

All in all, definitely a fantastic read. It's awesome how all these chapters could stand alone as one-shots, but they do tie in with each other nicely.

Um...I don't normally review...nor am I good at it, but I thought this was really well-written. Like everybody else, I really like how you written the relationship between GLaDOS and Chell. This is definitely one of my favourite Portal fics for sure, and I'll definitely be checking out your other stories.
Andrewlackey1995 chapter 4 . 9/6/2011
Loving the development of GLaDOS's relationship with Chell - you should get paid for your writing!

Seriously though; You could compile your best stories and sell them as an e-book. Consider it?

Also, one piece of constructive criticism; Chell seems to say damn a LOT. You might want to let up on that. Just a suggestion.
sailex chapter 5 . 9/5/2011
lol, i was listening to ponybeats to! *brohoof*. Anyways, great job on the story! keep it up! (needs more space core)
Cat Fishy chapter 7 . 9/1/2011
This is awesome. I love the way you write GLaDOS from Convergence on... made me giggle, and really outlines the idea that even She is imperfect/not totally evil/didn't completely "forget" Caroline... I'll be watching for more Portal fics from you. :3
Niqi chapter 3 . 8/30/2011
