Aw yes, their chemistry has finally been acknowledged. I saw the beginning of their budding relationship around chapter 7 and 8. Can't wait to see what happens next, literally ;)

This fic is so cute, and I loved this chapter. I should be asleep right now, but I'm gonna continue being an egghead romanticist.

Although Randall is still confused as to why this human girl is helping him, he no longer pushes her away, even if he wanted to. Maybe he is slowly starting to remember what it was like when someone offered him kindness, something he forgot about so long ago and may later have feelings of regret.

Well its a good thing Danielle took a risk by taking time off from work and school to help Randall get better, even if he thinks that he doesn't deserve help from anyone.

Randall is still more confused than ever, unable to think straight due to his injuries and illness which might explain his sudden laughter. And he seems to not want pity from anyone, thinking he doesn't deserve it for anything, having forgotten who he used to be for so long, desperate to be respected and not hated for what he was, only to lose everything and now he is unsure of himself and what will happen, unable to admit his guilt, shame, and fear.

I can understand why Randall has that rude attitude in him. Even though its not excusable, its understandable why he would be acting that way, after everything he's been through in his life and what happened to him not long ago with Mike and Sully, possibly even angry at himself for not being able to succeed at what he was hoping to achieve, yet his best was never good enough for anyone as he believed, not even when he thought the scream extractor would be a better solution as Waternoose made him believe it would be, having been taken advantage of by the CEO he thought understood him, but only used him for his own benefits. Now Randall isn't sure he can ever trust anyone again, not even humans after that encounter with those horrible, cruel Cajuns. I can sense now he is lost and confused, but doesn't know how to express those feelings, probably because he is ashamed to admit how shattered he is within, not wanting to be seen as weak and worthless if he did that. Little does he know that Danielle is not like those other horrible people he encountered once he gets to know and understand her better in time. At this rate he is not in any shape to try and return to Monstropolis, if he still wants to go back. But unless there is nothing for him there anymore and he was looking for love and respect in the wrong place where he was born, who knows if he believes that maybe he is better in the human world with someone like Danielle who will protect him and be there for him, to prove that its not too late for him to turn around.

Randall has suffered so much in his life, and nobody can ever understand or even want to understand what he is feeling, all because he is a lizard monster who can never have feelings, according to those that believe reptiles are evil creatures with no soul. But this chapter proves Randall does have a soul, and its shattered by ignorance, bullying, and prejudice. By this time, he might either think that what he gets, he deserves for being born into the world, or hating Mike and Sully further for his pain and suffering, even before his banishment. Part of him wants to tell his side of the story, but the other part still wants to get back at those two in the worst ways possible to make them understand all that he went through in his lfie.

What happened to Randall is so cruel, that he didn't deserve the cruel fate he got in the end, not after I know that he was manipulated and used by Waternoose into building that scream extractor, yet nobody cared enough to listen to him, with everyone in Monstropolis seeing him as nothing but a pure evil monster, but will never know his side of the story. Thank goodness this girl was kind enough to take him in and save him from the cold and horrible brutality he endured by those horrible Cajuns.

Er... I didn't expect this. This is... horrid. The last bit...

I'm so happy I found this fic! It was recommended in tv tropes. Your writing is so good! Danielle is such a cool oc! The slow-burn of their relationship was so satisfying! Holy shit, Jester is a terrifying villain!
I could go on and on about all the things I love about this fic...but it's like 2am and I'm tired so...I'll just thank you for the time and hard work that went into writing this and I look forward to reading your other stories. :)

I wish I could've been one of your first readers. Seeing that someone apparently made bad comments on it, it's horrible, but that's unfortunately how society is. Can never get 100% likes. Either way, five years later, it's still amusing. You did so good with everyone's characters, I can hear them speaking everything so clearly. Although the typos are a bit much, it's still easy to work through, and I'm looking forward to going through the rest of it.

I finished this awhile back, but wasn't sure what to say. I really love this story. You did really good on it with exception of the spelling errors. And love how you put the details in so deeply. It makes it all the more fun to love the characters, especially Randall.

Awwwwww oh my goodness I want to cry...that was the most cutest slow burn sorry I read. I love how they both hated and in the end loved. even though I still kinda want to know more about what happened during the drunken stage of the hotel room scene haha ;)

I think Jester should have left Fungus alone but I like bits Randall and Danielle.
