I am glad that you wrote this. I always questioned how Remus believed Sirius to be guilty when he saw the brotherhood between James and him and how much he adored Harry. I figured he had been told he confessed. But still, how could he not question it?

I've really enjoyed reading this. It was lovely to see Harry get the family he needed. In canon he never got to spend much time with Sirius and Remus and I always thought something should've been done. I know Dumbledore said he had to go back to the Dursleys for the blood wards, but how much use were they really, I mean Voldemort took his blood so doesn't that mean he could walse right in if he felt like it? And I know the fdelius charm has it's flaws, but with Dumbledore as the secret keeper why could Harry not live with Sirius after third year, it's not like they'd have to tell the ministry he'd moved, they could just pretend he still lived with his aunt. I get the feeling the wards were more to protect the Dursleys than Harry, how much use were they to him when he was away at school?
Anyway... I loved the golden retriever puppy, we had one for over ten years and she was the best dog ever. We have a black labrador now and i kind of feel guilty that i don't feel the same about her not that there's anything wrong with her, there just isn't the same connection.
I laughed quite a lot at the interaction between Sirius and Remus, that's what i thought it wouldve been like in canon, but maybe with the order restarting and Sirius not being free there were more obstacles in their way of regaining what they'd had.
This story has once again shifted my perspective on the Dursleys. I've read a few where Harry forgives them and they end up if not close then in touch, because Harry comes to realise that they were cheated as much as he was when he wa forced onto them. There's usually a lot more to it and the arguments are very convincing, but when i read things like you've written where a child goes into a panic attack over spilling a glass of milk it makes me want to see the Dursleys end up in the hands of the death eaters. I feel like such a bad person saying that. I don't think we get how bad it was for Harry in canon because most of it was skipped over so we could get to the main plot.
Wow this is getting long and most of it isn't about the story at all, but I find it good when an author writes things that make you think about more than the subject matter, books can change the world if we let them. Thank you for sharing your work and keep writing.

Hey! Don't think like that! I love this story! The way you have described the feelings, the events - they are wonderfully done! And no, I am not laying on any butter.. And I know its stupid of me to leave a review now, 3 years after its publication, but I can't help it.. I also love harry potter and have made an account on as "harrypotterlover2310". I know not very original but I made it when I was around, 12. But still I have been trying to change it to no success.. And my story has also not gotten any kind of response - neither bad, nor good. Hell I would liked someone to even rebuke me so that I could stop writing it, but no one has said anything,, I am thinking of posting it here maybe I can get some readers? OH this probably sounds like a plea for reading.. But please don't treat it that way! I do not have any intention of forcing anyone to read.. I just wanted to make jammin287 better..

Fear not. I, for one, am really enjoying this story. It's good to know that this is just the first in a series. Honestly? I backed into this one - as I started with the first three years of Harry in school, but in an author's note in one chapter you referred to a one shot something and some kind of stag. I thought, oh, a one shot. I can read that and come right back to this, so I clicked on you name and did not find (sadly) the stag story, but started reading this and here I am. Loving this, but please oh please don't pull a JKR and still kill Sirius and Remus. I hated that!

I just found your story today and I am enjoying it a lot. I look forward to reading your other stories as well. I am a "senior citizen" and slightly disabled. I read a lot for pleasure and to keep me occupied. I do hope that you do not get too discouraged and stop writing.
