Wonderful story, really, very touching, and so dark at the same time, I loved it - and will certainly read it again from time to time since it's a short one. You should totally write more of them, Charles and Erik are such interesting and complex characters, and you get them so well ! Oh, and the ending was perfect :)

Yooou. The significance of the coin and everything related to it was just fantastically and beautifully written. Charles' conversation with Shaw...I was so worried it would go differently, but it went perfectly. I just...wow.

Again, I'm picky with Charles, I don't think people can really make it work with him sometimes...but you really did.

Ooh, I liked this chapter :3 You write the interplay between them so perfectly! A-and they're staying together! *happy tears* Gah, Cherik causes me to transform into an emotional wreck- in the best way.

Ah! In the section with them playing chess, was it just me or did the coin start sounding a whole heck of a lot like the one ring? (As in "Lord of the Rings") It was being all creepy...and talking to Charles o_O And OH MY GOD. I'd never realized that by pushing Sean off of the satellite dish, Erik was doing almost the exact same thing Shaw did to him- use your powers, or you die. I'd always seen that scene as comic relief, but now...ah!

Also: they kissed :)

Ooh, interesting premise! Ugh Moira, your stupidity knows no bounds! Yep, I'm a hater. But she quickly rose to #1 on my list of "Most despised movie characters of all time" after a certain incident near the end of the film...*cough cough the beach cough*

I'm tempted to print this out, send it to the studios of the X-Men movie and tell them: Here is how it should have happened!

This story was truly wonderful.

It was not out of Character, not fluffy or sickly sweet.

It was just pure perfection!

I was worried about what you would write about the battle. Too often fanfic-writers turn the events in a way that makes you think: Why would that happen? This is so unrealistic.

But your story had just the right amount of pain, anger, confusion but also hope, promises and love to work out.

The scene with Shaw and Charles "talking" in their minds was really great and I was so torn, so caught up in the story, I could hardly sit straight.

Charles kept his promise not to leave Erik and now Erik can finally let go of his shadowed past and look into the future ahead of him.

Also, even though I find it a little morbid (sorry) I still think the idea of the rings is great.

This way they will remember the past, not forget what they fight for.

The metal does not represent Eriks revenge and anger anymore, but the healing and love he has found now.

I can't recall the last time I found such a facinating and wonderfully written story. It's a true masterpiece.

The story of that coin, the exchange between Moira and Erik. Charles' worries.

The way Erik reactes after he pushed Sean during training is something no one ever thought of before, so I must compliment this the most. I never read anything alike in any other XMFC Story I read so far.

You have an amazing talent!

Let's make a "Liebster" out of "liebe", won't we. I am sure you googled or leoed "Love" as in "My love". They will only give you "Liebe" as translation but, believe me, it has to be "Liebster".

I just started reading your story today and am hooked! You bring such a great perspective from Erik's past that I am eager to know like Charles. Well written! Continuing now :)
