story was just whoa. I was hooked on every word I almost didn't want it to end.

This was a great short story. I was a little sad to see Kags all cold hearted but it really worked for this story.

It's rather low or greedy of their grandfather to sacrifice his grand children for protection of a village that could of have some protection on their own like many villagers. Whether he know it or not having kagome continue protecting the village with limited miko powers will eventually kill her then the village will no longer be protected later on. Can none of them see the strain she is holding by keeping the barrier up for this long in maximum power. They put too much of wage on heritage or High priest or high priestess status to care about the individuals that was put upon the stage without a care in the world.

I'm glad both Kikyo and Kagome got their happy endings with their chosen men.

This was very good, I only wish there was more...
