What a story! It is brilliant, very brilliant indeed. I love the theme of love that seems so important in the books but it is never really explored, in this fiction we follow Lily as I have never seen her before, as a human, a flawed person even a broken person that tries to understand true love and suffers unimaginable hardships until she finally gets it. I loved the idea of the divination thing and I cried like a baby when Lily was in the hospital wing and saw the death of all the Marauders, extremely powerful scene. I saw that some people minded all the sex scene and, although in some other ficts I do as well, this one was written in a completely different way and those scene fit perfectly with the themes and the characters. I really loved the different prospective, usually in the fanfics regarding James and Lily we see a perfect Lily and a very flawed James that matures for the better and manages to get Lily to fall in love with him even if she hated him at the beginning. This story is so overwhelming different that at the beginning I almost stopped reading, I can't tell you how glad I am that I continued. Lastly, let's talk about the last chapter, it is a very different epilogue, generally we are used to a retelling of that faithful Halloween night which I generally don't like to read, this epilogue though is so creative I loved it, the whole ploy with Harry and Gracie is genius and again, made me cry. All in all this fic was able to make me feel a lot of things and see love under a different light and for these things I thank you. I believe this was one of the most original Jily fic I have ever read. Cheers

This is honestly one of the best piece Marauders fanfiction that I’ve ever read. You showed that there was an actual story to Jily instead of just doing a sappy, half baked, cliched love story plot and I’m so glad you did. I hope you write more stuff in the future because wow your good at it.

Wow what a story! your relationship between Baker and lily is honestly my favourite friendship pairing in all of literature. I just reread this story after having last read it when it was originally being updated and even after all these years it has blown me away. I am rather sad you haven’t continued with the sequel. I would love to get an update on what else you have been writing.

I never usually review any story, much less after reading only 5 chapters. Till now, I was stuck in a phase of solangelo and percabeth, but have recently started Jily and marauders era. And can I just say that yours is the best fic that I've come across till now? Because, the only fic that showed reality, not just made up tingly love, but actual messy love and emotions and brain workings, that I have read was The Life And Times. Your fic is definitely top of my charts and so mind-fucking-blowing and just so bloody awesome.

Not sure you still read these but you’re a great writer and I saw bits of myself in Lily. Like how she loved to the point of sacrificing herself for some other people. I was completely convinced that Ashby was evil and Callum was gay. I was 100% sure Callum was gay. You’re quite an amazing writer. Wise beyond the years of a college student one might say. I just wanted to congratulate you and give you a huge thank you for your work. I've got to admit is not the first time I've read your story (I am too embarrassed to tell you how many), but yet, it is the first time I'm leaving a review (sorry for that, non-native English speaker, i just haven't been able to express how I felt until now).

Or maybe how your story made me feel (and still makes me feel). I admire the way it was all connected, even the smallest details (with so many CANNON things). And the characters are so well written, I think they all have a round personality, even Sirius, even though dating Lily was slightly OOC for him, you made it work. So nice.
And don't make me start on James. I just think is one of the best James Potters I've had the pleasure to read so far. Why do people make him so clingy all the time is beyond me.
And Baker. I'm in love with an OC, is that possible?

Can we talk about how you made the love thing in which almost all the HP series bases on, the love from Lily's that saved Harry Potter from Voldemort, and the way you just fitted it together in this fic? Loving this story IS INDEED easy.

I don't know what to say. This fic had been popping up in a Jily Fanfiction archive that I follow for ages and to be honest the blurb hadn't quite caught my interest. I was up late a couple nights ago scrolling through the archive and saw it once again. I hadn't read a multichap in a while so I thought I might as well see what the hype was about and I swear on the Jily ship that I have never loved a fic more than this one. I was captivated right from the prologue and seriously drawn into the characters and the plot. I usually skim read because I get bored through multichap fics but I didn't do that once. The writing was effortless to read. There wasn't a point where i was bored, confused or lost. Each character was written beautifully, and made me appreciate every one of them. Very rarely do I cry from reading but I became very attached to Baker and Lily's relationship that after reading his death I went to sleep crying. You know a story is good when it evokes such strong emotions from a reader. I'm very happy I happened upon this brilliant fic the other night, I love it.

I think this story’s greatness doesn’t need to be explained. My one question is, what happened to Piper after the war?
